fuel controller question

a) will it make it run cooler?
b) install difficulty?
c) any specific model/brand to look for? I found one on google, which EJK for 225usd, is this any good?

i'm mainly looking to decrease the heat which drives me nuts. riding with shorts impossible. power is secondary. also don't want to shorten its life...

Hello to everyone,
First time Can-Am owner. Been around a lot of them. Very popular brand here. Always impressed with their power. Purchased a 2017 Maverick XC. Went with the idea of getting a Commander but couldn't get by the Maverick. Little over 200 miles on it now, its clear I made the right choice. Last side x side was a Polaris Ranger, good machine, just lacked the power I wanted. Winch, roof, half windshield and back screen added at dealer and installed back and interior LED's at home. Really like these kind of forums, great info on common problems and the things people are doing to their machines. Everybody have a great day. Brian

Rear Spare Carrier

Hi folks, This is my first post. I own a 2011 Polaris 550 XP. I am wanting to mount a spare on the back. I found a kit on net offered by TCP Performance that beefs up the std. rear hitch receiver and also bumps the receiver side to 2". I am in process of trying to find an appropriate spare carrier bar to fit into it to carry the spare.
My question is : Can you all recommend a 2" carrier bar that will be appropriate for my machine that will not be rattling badly within the receiver while going down a rough or uneven trail?

Key not starting

Hello- Have an issue with a 2002 Sportsman 500 HO. Had an issue with the key where it got stuck turning over when starting, I was able to get it to shut off, but then wouldn't turn over again with the key. Took the ignition out and the key didn't sound right when turning. So I put a new ignition in and it still won't turn the engine over but the sportsman starts with the recoil and it turns off with the key. Any ideas what the issue could be? Maybe something fried somewhere after the first ignition got stuck? Appreciate any assistance!! Thank you!

Visco-lock

Need some help. Went camping last week and I was pulling a trailer (about 1000lbs) when we had to go off trail to avoid a bad area. I ended up wallowed in a mud hole with the left tires buried to the top in mud & muskeg, the right side was almost totally out. The left front tire was not spinning. My brother said that he heard a clicking (I did not hear anything). After we got out I watched the front left tire the best that I could when driving in the mud and it appeared to be spinning the way it should. Question #1: When a front tire is too bound up will the visco-lock release itself or will it keep trying to deliver power to the point of failure? Question #2: Since it appears to be working now, do I have to even have to be concerned about it at all?

800 Injectors in 650 Outlander?

Hey all!

I have a 2011 Outlander 650 Max, with an 800 top end from MrRPM. I'm running a Dobeck AFR+, which for the most part is doing a good job taking care of tuning.

I had the bike out for the first long run since rebuilding, for about 15 minutes on the 5 hour run, the Dobeck stopped reading the O2 sensor. The fuel map kept the bike running fine under load, but she stumbled while trying to idle. I also have a fairly lean idle pretty much all the time with the dobeck setting maxed. Not dangerously lean, but leaner then I would like.

I don't want to have any more down time right now, I'll probably send the ECU away to be tuned this winter. I'm just trying to think of a way to increase the fuel sent to the bike so the Dobeck doesn't have to adjust as much.

I've been told that the 800s my year have bigger injectors, would they be a direct fit, and would they increase fuel sent to the cylinders (when the Dobeck is off, when it is on it should correct with either)?
