Hello everyone. I’m new here but not new to riding. I have a Defender HD10 and a Outlander 800R. Been wanting to sign up here for a while as I read threads here from time to time for info. Glad I signed up!
Winter
Looks like winter finally arrived here in south west Montana, we received 9" of snow lastnight and are expecting another 8" tonight. Temperatures have been pretty chilly which is pretty strange to be getting this amount of snow with temps below 0. It is pretty fluffy light snow and almost makes it a little tough to plow because it just flies out the sides need to make some sides for my plow. The 570 has worked flawlessly as have the terra 35 winch, heat demon grips are awesome.
27 vipr and offset question for sportsmen 1000
ran 26 inch OG bighorns with sti hd3 wheels on my old 2012 850 le looking at upgrading my wheels for my 1000 sportsman that came with maxis 27 inch Maxxis viprs. would a 14 x7 wheel with 4 +3 offset appear different and or stick our more than a 14x6 wheel with 4+2 tire of same size?
was looking at the sti 212 which has 14x6 with 4 +2 on front and 14x7 with 5+3 on rear vs sti hd3 wheels with 14x7 all around wheel size
would 14x7 front and rear wheels with 4+ 3 offset all around with 27x9x14 front and 27x11x14 rear tires stick out more than 14x7 front 4 +2 front offset with 27x9x14 tires and 14x8 with 5+3 offset with
27x11x14 set.

2015 Polaris 570 Sportsmen ATV Error Code
Gentleman,
New to the forum. I just purchased a new Polaris 2015 570 atv. My check engine light popped on and looked for dig. codes. The following code was displayed 0 520 194
3.
According to to the error code, it is Voltage is TOO HIGH?? The battery was replaced due to being bad. My question is what does this mean or could be causing it. It appears to be running properly?
Thanks

CanAm Accessory Power Plug Connector.. What type is it?
On my CanAm Defender (and likely many other CanAm vehicles) they use specific two pin connector for accessory power. Does anybody out there know that the specific type of connector this is? I've tried looking online, and I find close, but not exact. I tried contacting BRP, and they were no help. They just refer me to contact my dealer. Dealer doesn't know exactly what type of connector it is. I have attached pictures of the specific accessory connector (2 pin male and female end). Any help in ID'ing this type of connector would be appreciated, and I'm sure many others would greatly benefit from the information as well so we can purchase these type of connectors, and build our own wires for add-ons.....
2005 phoenix – missing kickstart??
Hi all,
So I picked up an 05 Phoenix and realized that not only the is the kickstart lever missing, there is no shaft!
So I have driven it around and everything appears/feels fine, I assume I have some missing pieces.
I assume this is not too difficult to take apart and inspect?
Thanks!

Idle problems
I have a 2013 500 Outlander xt. Back in November I had a problem getting it started. When it finally started it had no power. It had sat for a long time so I thought maybe bad gas, so I drained the tank and refilled with new gas and sea foam. I had to keep giving it throttle or it would shut off. After about 5 minutes it started to idle on it's own. After about 1/2 hour the idle would rev up and down so I put it away. Last week I tried to plow snow and had no power again. I pulled the plugs they were very black. After new plugs I seemed to get power back but still have idle problems. When I start it it idles fine, but if I hit the throttle it starts pulsating up and down between 2500 and 3500 rpms. I cant get it into gear. As I was going over it I pulled the air box plug and a bunch of oil came out. After a Google search realized when I layed it on its side a couple years ago oul got in. So I began to think oil gummed up throttle control valve, map sensor or idle bypass. Everything looked good and I cleaned the map sensor. Put everything back together but no change. Now I'm back to thinking bad gas so I pulled the fuel pump thinking maybe the sock would be clogged but it looked brand new. I'm getting a fuel pump test gauge tomorrow. Anyone have this problem before?
New owner, 850 SP
Hey All,
Just wanted to join up after lurking a little bit. I am going to be taking delivery of a leftover 18' 850 SP this week.
Wanted to check in and see if there are any issues I should be watching out for. I had a ranger I just sold and I know polaris can't hold a charge, so I already have the battery tender permanent connector planned. Anything else I should look for?
Getting a winch attached by the dealer and ordered front and rear bumpers I will put on myself from them. Eventually might plow with it, but not this year. Main use will be riding in the woods, working on trails/property and dragging a compost spreader. The tow capacity of the 850, is what pushed me over the edge from a few other options.
Anyways, hello!
