2016 570X2 Transmission seems to not be engaging

I have a 570X2 with 350 Miles. Was out riding in the snow the other day and all of a sudden there is no power. RPM's go up but no power to wheels, then its back to normal and now back to no power. I am from minnesota thought something froze up so had it in heated garage and still same issue. Any thoughts ?

I've been looking at the can am apache 360 track system and was wondering, how much longer do they make the quad? my main concern would be hauling it to places or how I'd haul it

Intro/ charging issues/ general sportsman questions

Hey guys, new to the forum, new to atvs. I’m originally from WA, but recently moved to the Salt Lake City area. South west of salt lake up I. The mountains with tons of snow. I picked up a 2006 sportsman 700 with about 1800 miles on it for plow purposes as well as play. I have some acreage out here. I did the ball joints, a new CV, new prop line yoke and U joint. Just some general common fixes.

Recently the battery hasn’t been charging while running the bike, I’m not new to troubleshooting cars/trucks so I immediately tested the battery, it’s was good, brand new, but still I tested it. Next I went to the google machine for some tips. Checked the voltage at the battery while running and it was around 11.4, too low. Did the stator check and had continuity between the wires so I replaced the stator, now it’s running about 12.4/12.5, but it doesn’t fluctuate when I rev it, and the battery light still comes on. Is there anything else I should check before spending another $150-$200 on an ecm? I’ve looked around for rubbed wires and shorts, but can’t really find anything. The PO did replace the speedo unit around 900 miles, the screen got cracked, other than that I don’t believe anything else has been replaced.

Another question I have, the digital fuel gauge. Is that supposed to be on all the time? Or does it come when the tank is around half full? Because mine doesn’t show when the tank is full, but it does flash on and off when I’m on an incline or rough terrain. Could this possibly be a symptom of whatever is causing my charging issue? The bike also has heated grips/thumb and a winch for the plow. But I haven’t been running the heated grips because it kills the battery.

Thanks guys! Here a pic of my bike as reward for reading my wall of text.

2019 blown diffs

Anyone blow on yetor seen one let go? If you have blown one, post below about what happened.

For those unaware, Can Am changed the ring and pinion to straight cut gears for 2019 in their Outlanders and Renegades. As of writing this, I haven't heard of a single one that has let go.

Thanks!

Windshield / 1st maintenance

Couple of questions. First, I am new to the side x side world. I recently purchased a 2018 can-am defender HD10. I have read conflicting statements on what hour/mileage the first maintenance should be done at. I have had two different dealers tell me it should be done at the 25 hour mark, and another told me the 50 hour mark. Anyone have any opinion on what is best?

Secondly, I want to put on a windshield. Does anyone have any experience with can-am flip glass windshields? Is this something that I could install myself, or would having a dealer do it be the best route to go? I appreciate any feedback

2016 450 Starting Issues Electrical?

I have a 2016 450L that I have had for just over 2 years. Other than the normal crap (suspension, brakes) it has not had any issues. I use it mainly for ice fishing, but also take it in the mud sometimes. Recently we had a big snow storm that left the local lakes with a bunch of snow and slush. Due to a poor decision, I stranded my ice shanty on a lake, and had to buy a plow for the wheeler. It hated its life plowing 1.5 miles of road on a lake but it did it. In the process is got caked with 500lb of slush and ice when temps were 10 or lower. After a struggle to thaw it, we took it out. I have never had any starting issues, and then after getting on the lake and using it all day, I parked it and shut it off for 5 minutes, came back and the dash cluster wouldnt come on, headlights wouldnt come on, BUT it would crank, as it cranked lights on dash and headlights would light up with it in rhythm, but no fire. Seemed like spark was MIA. left it for a few minutes grabbed some gas as she was a little low, turned key, lights etc all work fires right up. Then the other day out again, I notice a new light. A green light is not illuminated on the lower right of the gauge cluster, never been there before. But with it the cluster backlight isnt working at all. Wheeler ran fine all day, then the next day I drove it from my shanty about 300 yds, shut it off, and it again would not start back up. This time it had gas. left it for a few minutes and turned the key and it comes right on when I press the start button.

I have seen things about dash clusters getting wet, call BRP they refused to talk said I needed to take it to a dealer. Called dealer they have supposedly never heard of anything like this. Can anyone on here explain what I am experiencing? Seems like something with the gauges is stopping it from firing, but everything I have found says with no gauges it should fire. It has been wet, but never under water, or even close, deepest thing its ever seen is 10 inches of mud, but the slush that was caked on was pretty severe and was everywhere.

Sportsman build thread

Consolidated place to highlight my slow build of an 06 Sportsman 800 EFI.

As I picked it up, early winter.
