Decals, BRP and CanAm

Looking for a reliable or verified decals source for BRP, 800 Outlander XT (2004 or 5) and CanAm 400 Outlander XT (2006)

Checked with the NEW dealer in my area and their parts desk was unable to support BRP info.

Best to all who reply, Gary. (Flying by the seat of my pants)

2018 front pinion cover issues?

I was just curious if any of you guys have seen or heard of any problems/failures of the new and improved 2018+ pinion covers?
I debated on replacing mine immediately with aftermarket but the new model covers are steel now rather than aluminum so I haven't. I haven't seen or heard anything about the new machines and just wondered if any of you have.

Battery drain or normal?

2015 Sportsman 1000 Touring

Condition: Intermittent no start. Charge battery and it is OK for a while. Sometimes it will go weeks especially if run long afer start. Occasionally it would start, idle for warmup, drive 1/4 mile shut down and no restart. Charging system tests fine. Parasitic load test OK but with a catch.

I noticed at key off my Power Commander remained energized. Watched it and found that at around 20 minutes it timed out and shut down. Removing either the fuel pump fuse, EFI fuse, EFI relay or unplugging the ECM shut down the draw until next key on when it repeated.

During this period the draw was approx. 80-90ma. I found with my Amp Hound that 8ma was from the fuel pump circuit and 70-80 was on the EFI circuit. I went through plug by plug trying to shed the load. Unplugging the fuel pump made no difference. If memory serves I found that 20 ma was the PC-V and 40ma was the IAC with a 20ma base load that I never found.

My battery is suspect. I have replaced it with the 30ah unit that these things really should come with. I'm thinking that I'll be fine now, but I wonder about that 20 minute retained load? Is this just normal or is there something in my ECM that is staying alive for that time?

2017 850 Spark Arrestor

Hey guys,

I recently removed my spark arrestor and the bike has ran much better since.
Is there any reason that I should replace it? Once I removed it, it fell right apart in my hands. So as of now, I am running without it.

Thanks in advance.

new to me 2004 Predator 90 – things to do?

Hi all,

So I just picked up this 2004 Predator 90 for $600 for one of my boys. Guy I bought it from has said it has sat in the garage for many years, his kids are now grown, so it it needs a good going through. I figure i need to scrub the carb and flush both the gas and oil tank good.
Here are some basic parts I think to start with:
float bowl gasket - I never have luck being able to reuse these....
new plug - NGK-BPR7HS
I need a new cooling fan duct and gasket - existing has split
air cleaner and seal

As for 2 stroke oil - what is recommended? Something like this: Amazon Amazon - or do I need the VES version?
Polaris AGL Synthetic Gearcase Lubricant and Transmission Fluid for the crankcase
Anything else from a maintenance perspective?

Also - since this a 2004, there are no lights. Can I buy the lights for a 2005-06 and put them in?

Thanks!
Joe

Hauling with tracks

What kind of hitch bar are you guys using to haul bob sleds/box with tracks on?
Would I need a extended bar to clear the sleds hitch from tracks? Has anyone purchased one from canadian tire if available?
