Engine light when pulling trailer
I pull a small trailer to help fix potholes in the road leading to the house. After 3 or 4 minuets the engine light comes on. After the trailer is off the light goes out. During the time the light is on, there is no difference in operation of the ATV. Called the dealer. Dealer says don't worry about it. That they will check the code on my next visit. Anyone here have any ideas?

Starting the engine first time in a year
'11 Grizz 700 here. Since I've got some warm weather these next couple days I've decided to start the bike after about a year of just sitting. Took out the plug and sprayed a good amount of fogging oil on top of the piston to help lubricate things. After about a minute of letting it soak I stuck my air line tubing in to suck out the excess, but it seems like I didn't get nearly as much in return. Repositioned the tube enough so that everything that was gonna come out pretty much did. I'll probably shoot some compressed air down the plug hole before doing the start just to make sure it's all out, as well as cranking it for a second before putting the plug back in.
How long would it take for a bit of standing fogging oil to seep past the piston rings, and where would it go? I guess into the engine oil? The oil was fairly new the last time it was started but I'm sure it could stand to be changed after sitting for so long. If much of this fogging oil got into the engine oil should I do the change before the startup?

Polaris Ground Cable Lenght
Does anyone know if the Polaris Sportsman 450 and the 570 share the same ground cable wire specifically is one longer than the other?
I installed the Battery Relocation kit from Quad Logic and the ground wire is about 2" short from allowing me to mount the Terminal Block to the frame.
I have a 2017 450ho.

Headlight wire repair advice please
Hey guys,
The high beam (pod) light on my 2008 Sportsman 700 X2 hasn't been working. I broke out the multimeter and started checking the wiring harness. No volts at the socket with key on and switch set to HI. Pulled the wiring harness plug from the switch. Checked continuity from YELLOW pin to the YELLOW pin on the socket. No good. Broken somewhere. I looked where the BROWN and YELLOW wires come out of the big wrapped bundle and sure enough, the YELLOW wire was broken right there. See the attached picture.
So, my question is "what's the best repair" for this kind of thing? I'm new to vehicle wiring. Done plenty of wiring and soldering with my RC plane hobby. Wondering if it's best to solder this dude back together or get a small crimp-on connector of some sort.
What would you guys do?
Thanks!
Andy

Bad spark plug – Thank you
I had problems with my xplorer. I couldn't get it to start. I removed the spark plug to check for spark. It was good. Put it back in and it wouldn't fire. Somewhere in this forum, I read where a plug can have good spark outside the engine and yet not fire when it is put back in. It sounded silly to me but, it was worth a try. I changed the spark plug and it started right up.
I spent many hours trying to get this machine running. Cleaning the carb. Checking compression. Looking at wiring and other items. I never would have supected a plug could have good spark outside the engine and at the same time, not fire when placed back in the cylinder.
I just had to big THANK YOU to those who respond on this forum.

First rear diff oil change (HELP)
Ok so I bought this bike last September and have about 130 miles and about 30-40 hours and was going to do a oil change. I decided to get the brp kit with the engine oil..trans oil... and diff oil to just do all the oil changes at once even though the diffs didn’t need changed yet. So every thing looked good except the rear diff. It was a grey color... almost like a clay color. It’s weird because it’s consistent and thick like oil. My first thought was oh no there’s water in it but the more I looked at it the more I don’t think so..there was no white milky lines and it’s not runny. It does have some black lines going through it.. I had a guy tell me it water in my diff and I had another guy tell me that’s how his first diff oil changed looked. I’m wondering if can am uses a break in fluid. Iv heard of companies doing that. Have any of you experienced this or should I be worried any advice would help... I’ll post a pic.. there’s a bad glare coming from my chandelier so don’t mistake that for whiteness...PS I added water to this container after I took the pic to see if I could notice difference and after adding the water the white milkyness was present
