Newbie

Hey everyone,
New to the can am atv club. Just bought my first one. 2014 500 outlander. Loving it.
A few things i have notice after buying are : no low beam light ( bulbs i am guessing) , will not run in the run without lights position and it seems to cut in and cut out in reverse.
Any advice?
I will be hunting the post to see if anyone has something similar happening.

Lock and Ride rear Cargo Box

I bought the original lock and ride rear cargo box for my 2009 550XP a couple of years ago and it worked great. About a year ago I bought a 2018 570SP and I thought it fit fine until I got on some bumpy trails with it. It constantly comes off unless I have a bunjee securing it. I have adjusted the lock and ride anchors but nothing seems to work. Has anyone else had this experience?

Snow Plowing Lessons Please

Hello from snowy Colorado: We've had some good snow falls although expected around here. I have a 2017 Outlander Max Ltd. I thoroughly enjoy the machine. I have a Glacier 60" steel plow for it. I plow in 4wd and low range. So here we go.

My Outlander will "bulldoze" snow just fine. I don't have tire chains. I push the snow until the Outlander grunts and spins its front tires. The pile is about 4 feet high at that point. Then the second snow comes and I push the new snow into the old snow. I'm losing driveway turnaround space.

1. How robust is the Outlander drivetrain for pushing snow into a pile until I get wheel slip?

2. Does anyone "crash" their Outlander into a pile of snow to push it farther out and higher up?

I'm concerned I'm really stressing the frame, the CVT, the gearbox, the rear drive, the front differential, and axles. The Outlander is not a tractor or plow truck.

I think the Outlander would work well on long, flat lanes. Angle the blade and get some speed up and you can clear a lot of area quickly. If you start the winter with a wide plowing, then you would have room as the snow piles up. There is a limit of course.

Maybe I should just give up and buy a big snow blower.

Best (Non-Performance) Mods

Wanted to start a thread (or if exists somewhere, feel free to merge) outlining some of your guys favourite mods you've done or seen.
I'm not really interested in the performance variations as those have been beat to death everywhere, but maybe mods that add convenience or usability or personalization to your machine.

As an example, myself, I like the billet shifter and gas cap and will be adding LED headlight halos. On a previous ATV I also added a water temp gauge that I found very useful.

Clutch Kit

Most machines don't have a tachometer and we don't have a dyno sheet that tells us where our machines develop max torque or horsepower. So how does anyone tune there clutching to there riding needs? How far off is the factory clutching? I bet the most overlooked thing on any machine is clutch maintenance , especially the belt.
