Synthetic cable

I just ordered a synthetic winch line for my quad. Are you guys also switching to the hawse fairlead or keeping the rollers when you switch? Completely slipped my mind and want to know if I should be ordering one now

Hi to all

Hi....name Igor, locatio Croatia, Europe
Bought first canam outlander 570 max, my 2019. Very satisfied for now 😁

Extremely cold here. Has this ever happened to anyone? (starter issue?)

It's like -10F (and dropping even more) here right now. I went out to start my 450 today (there was a small spot at the end of the driveway where I wanted to plow real quick) and I turned the key, hit the button and the starter just "whined" like it was spinning, but no engagement. I had to hit the button a bunch of times and finally it engaged and started. I let it warm up a good 15 minutes, then I shut it off and hit the button again. Started right up like nothing ever happened. Is this something to be expected in this kind of brutal weather? Or could something be going wrong? It's never done this before, but this is the first time it's ever been this cold since I've owned this.

Fuel filters…..interesting.

So i missed the rotten grommets on the gas lines where they plug into the tank on this 2007 outlander 400 i got and on saturdays test ride the rpms suddenly started coming up on its own.

Pull over and pop the plastic to see whats up, i bumped the idle up a bit when i first got it so i fugured watever was causing the low idle kicked loose or im sucking air somewhere.

As i reached in for the idle adjustment screw i moved the gas lines out of my way so my hand could fit and the reserve line fell out grommet and all!!!!

3/4 of a tank of gas spewed out onto the hot engine hissing and misting/fuming like ignition is forthcoming. Alls i could think to do was shut er down, put it in neutral and push it out of the pool of gas shouting DONT U CATCH FIRE DONT U IGNITE!!!!!

Finally all the gas emptied out and i thanked whoever was watching out for me for still being alive and not dying a horrible gruesome death!

Anyways...looking up part #s later that nite after id quit shaking, i noticed in the parts schematic it shows an inline filter plugged into the grommet with a short hose plugged into that then the hose plugs into the elbow on the fuel line on both the main and reserve lines....

Would probably eliminate 99.9 % of the "last chance screen" "pull the carb then pull the float bowl..." "engine shuts down when hot" etc etc fuel issues.

Mine doesnt have that setup, the fuel lines plug right into the tank grommets, no filter, no short hose. And i dont see anyone else that has it either with all these fuel system malfunctions seems like a good idea....too bad there is no room, probably why they eliminated that whole filter assembly at the factort im guessing??

Anyways long story srry just found it interesting that there should be filters, and there is not.

Interesting find while greasing machine.

I picked up a 2014 400HO recently. Basically new with only 26 miles on it. After searching and posting on here I decided to change all the fluids as it is 4 years old. Decided to try and grease it too while I was at it. Front A-arms needed about 10 pumps each along with the rear lowers. Rear uppers only a couple pumps. Now the drive shaft was even worse needing at least 15 pumps before I saw any grease coming out. My question is how, with Polaris quality control could this “new” machine need that much grease? Must have been assembled on a Friday afternoon.

2018 Sportsman 570SP display buttons blink every 50 seconds

This is an odd one, I think. I noticed when sitting in the dark that my display buttons would blink once in a while. After a lot of searching, I found no answers, so here I am. Nothing else blinks, not the display itself, just the buttons below the display in the image attached. They also seem to blink every 50 seconds. Does anybody know of any features of this ATV that would cause it to blink like that? I feel like it drains my battery too. The battery gets weak when sitting a couple weeks. At firts I thought I had a short somewhere causing the blink, but then I measured the interval and it seemed too steady to be a split wire somewhere. Anybody have any ideas? If you need more info, just ask.

Thanks in advance.
