SO last night was the first time I got to plow at night with my '18 570. Aside from my starting issues I posted in another thread, I noticed something with the brightness of the headlights. I am use to the headlights dimming when you add a strain to the electrical system, such as using the winch. Or the lights getting a tad brighter when you are at a higher RPM vs. at idle..., That's what I expected...
But my lights would go from bright to not so bright or visa versa at odd times. (I don't want to say dim because they never seemed dim, just less bright and more bright) This would happen at various times. Sometimes while plowing at higher RPM in a straight line. So the RPM's were about held at 4000 during the time when they would go from not so bright to bright. Then they would go from bright to not so bright on the next pass, while still at higher RPM. Even sitting idle talking to my neighbor, we both noticed them go from not so bright to bright..
is this normal? Sign of something going in my electrical system? Regulator? Could it be related to the starting issues?
On a side note, when I do use my winch (up and down) the dash lights go out for a second... Is this normal? I just replaced my battery with a brand new AGM battery as well hoping it would help.
Thanks
