I need more air!
Trying to find a solution to opening up the airbox on my 2018, Sportsman 1000 XP. EHS Racing offers their “Outerware” airbox covers that provide more airflow, but not for the 1000. Is the 850 airbox the same size as the 1000? If so, there’s my solution. They DO offer the cover for the 850.
I do not want to snorkel the airbox but can’t find any other way to increase the airflow.
Anybody have any solution to this? I need more air!

Sportsman 700 efi Tbap harness replacement question
Hey guys. I searched around, and could not find the answer. I’m convinced I need to repair the Tbap harness, and am ordering an OTB part. When you’ve replaced this harness, have you pulled the tank for access or is there an easier way? Thank you for the help, it’s always appreciated.

What am I missing?
Greetings all!
I've been a lurker for some time now, but this is my 1st post here. I have a 1999 Sportsman 500 that I just can't get to run right. It will start and idle fine, but misses badly when you give it more than 1/4 throttle or so. I can ride it if I go real easy but it always stalls immediately when you pull up and stop, however it will always start right back up and idle nice immediately. Why does it stall in the first place??!! :hmmm: I know after reading extensively on these forums that the cam is probably the main suspect. It looks perfect..
Aftermarket parts are extremely cheap on eBay these days so I started throwing parts at it. So far, Ive replaced the stator, CDI box, ignition coil, fuel pump and carburetor. (twice on the carb. The Mikuni still runs better than the $35 replacements :grin)
I've played with tighter and looser valve lash. I've ran a bunch of 2 stroke oil through it in case a valve might be sticking. I've tried with and without the airbox and filter. I even removed the muffler - it does the same thing only louder.
I've unplugged the black wire from the CDI box and it makes no difference either.
It seems to have good compression. I took the head off and inspected the valves/bore. Everything looks fine. The cross hatches still show in the bore. Its sat quite a bit during its life. It doesn't smoke or use oil. It doesn't knock or sound bad when it's idling. Why would it stall, then start right back up and idle perfectly?? Why won't it rev up??
What am I missing here? HELP!!

Problems with Outlander 400
Hi all. I have a 2006 Can Am Outlander 400. My problem with it is as follows. When I drive it for about 15-20 minutes it runs smoothly but after that time period it starts to run very roughly and then barely runs at all. After letting it cool down after about 5 minutes it runs fine again but for only a few minutes and then runs poorly again. Have done all the obvious things like new spark plug, checked carb but I think I’m missing something. Has anyone out there had the same problem? Would appreciate any feedback.

4WD takes a long time to engage
I noticed when plowing the other day that when I shift to reverse, only the back wheels turn (spin) for at least 5 seconds. Then the front wheels join in and I am able to back up the slippery slope. I don't remember that from last year. Maybe it was especially slick so it was more noticeable?
I did a fluid change on all holes this Fall. I used the Polaris recommended fluids and amounts but have to wonder if I screwed up.
