Newbie Needs Help! vintage xplorer 250
To make a long story short... I'm new to the forum and recently picked up a new ice fishing rig. It is a 2001 Polaris Xplorer 250 4x4. Great light vehicle to get me around on the ice. I have some issues with it starting and I am looking for help.
Here is my problem, whenever the ATV is wet or its damp outside I get no start. Its a spark issue where I can test and ground out the plug-no spark.
I have replaced the coil, plug and plug cap - last week it started up in the garage and ran perfect with a strong spark. I drove north on a damp morning and no spark.
This week I replaced the CDI box because I saw some corrosion on it- still no spark.
I now have a bad intermittent spark, the coil is a cheap knock off that i ordered fyi.
I have no clue where to go from here, the only thing i can think of is a bad stator?
any suggestions?!?

Radials or bias tires?
Only road on radial tires. Is there any big differance I would notice if I switched to bias tires?
Front Rack Jerry Can
Hey guys, I'm about to pull the trigger on a set of these but I want to know if you guys that have used them have any reviews? They're a pretty good deal but I found out today that I'm going to have to eat up all of my savings on shipping them, 40 bucks shipping! So I better be sure they're damn good before I buy them. I have a light bar on my front rack but I don't think it will interfere with the way these mount.
2003 trailblazer 250 compression and breather / vacuum lines
My kids 2003 trl blzer was idling high so when trying to adjust it I noticed 3 hose nipples that were bare ( 2 on the top right side one part of carb and one black plastic ) ( the other on the bottom , I assume is the over flow for the float bowl ? ) . I assume they were vents and possibly an oil supply line from the pump to the carb. Pushed it into the garage and the next day there was oil leaking from the oil pump . What happened to those lines I have no idea. I was concerned that the missing lines starved the jug of oil and that caused the high idle . I checked compression and got between 95 and 100 after 5 pulls with throttle wide open . I have spent hours looking for compression for the 244 cc motor and have found " your fine at 100 psi " and " gotta have atleast 115 psi " LOL !!! So two ?s
1 ) Will the motor run ok at 95 - 100 psi ?
2 ) Where the hell do the hoses on the 3 nipples on the carb go ?
Thanks for any info you got !

2012 550 X2 Coupler removal.
According to the repair manual, after the trans is removed (obviously!!) to remove the coupler from the end of the crankshaft, you just remove the allen head bolts as viewed through the slots in the coupler. However, I see the bolt heads, but they are not in line with the slots...they are hidden by the webs between the slots. I haven't reefed on anything yet, should the two coupler pieces turn independently so that I can line up the slots with the bolt heads?
For those that aren't familiar with this application, the 2011 and back used a rubber "Spoke" style coupler, while the 2012 and up used a steel unit.

03 700 twin not running/no compression
New to the forum! Just picked up a non running project. Its an 03 sportsman 700 twin and is in decent shape. It was taken to the dealer and compression test done according to the previous owner. No compression. Last time it was rode the overheat light came on and parked after limping it home a few miles and hasnt been cranked since because it wont start. I have not messed with it hardly at all because the carb isnt in it and it is missing the bottom bowl. Im gonna order a new carb. Are the amazon carbs not worthy? Anyone else have experience with them? Other than that and the bike is in pretty good condition and everything seems to be in place. A little low on coolant and the oil aint milky and is full. Just looking to revive someone elses yard ornament and put it to good use. It has sat for roughly 3 years so looking for any advice!

Possible gearbox issues. Need help
When I pulled my Outlander out of the garage today it didn't want to go into reverse. I got it to go, then it started making a grinding noise like the gears didn't fully engage. I started shifting gears and it isn't reading the right gear placement. When in Neutral it still moves, it won't go into park, and something seems wrong in general. Where do I start with this? I think it might be the gearbox.
Oil out of water pump weep hole
Back to beat this dead horse! Why rotax and can am is this seal made to leak? All the machines I've owned from can am have leaked here, even after replacement! Gotta be a design flaw! Who all on newer machines had this problem? I like these machines a lot but something as silly as this should be re thought out! Just my opinion, please chime in!
