Rear End carrier Bearings
Looks like the bearings are shot, I'm hoping the races are okay, probably not and will be replacing them as well.

Engine Drive Coupler and Trans Coupler
Hello,
I have a 2009 Sportsman 550 XP EPS and the trans coupler nut came loose and took out a trans bearing. I have the trans back together but I can't seem to locate the torque spec for the trans coupler nut? Does anyone know what the torque spec is?
Additionally, this issue makes me wonder if I should take off the engine drive coupler nut and re-torque it to make sure it doesn't come loose.
Also thinking about putting some blue or red locktite on each nut. Anyone have a preference? I'm thinking blue is probably enough but not certain.
Thanks for your time!

Newfoundland Mountains Ride
We staged around 10am at the first "WARNING" sign, ~2000 feet outside the Lakeside/Military area and bombing range. Temps were 8F before the windchill and the fog/inversion layer was super thick.
The jets were thick as fleas above. We could hear them zooming overhead constantly, though we couldn't see them. Just as we finished unloaded our ATV's (both with Polaris Sportsman XP 1000's), we heard and felt the first concussive blast, though we didn't actually see the explosion.
We had to traverse ~12 miles of county road that went right through the bombing range. Oddly, we saw cattle inside the fencing of the bombing range, but couldn't figure out how they got in there. There was a shephard out there watching over the herd, so despite thinking it odd, we continued onward.
After leaving the bombing range, we connected to the train / GSL causeway and proceeded west. The causeway was littered with old steel rails, rail ties and other hazards. Additionally, the snow had been packed down hard and formed into a nice ice layer, making sideways movement fairly easy if you flicked the handlebar the wrong way.
We stopped at the GSL pumping station just in time to hear a very loud train coming in from the East. We heard it LONG before we saw it and it took ~10 minutes for the train to reach us.
The pumping station seems to be rusting as the aqua blue water in what looks to be a man-made canal seemed covered in huge rust spots:
We departed the pumping station and continued what felt like 100 more miles to the West in temps at ~50mph felt like -15F. We arrived at the Newfies to see a fairly deep amount of snow. We were frozen, so we gathered some brush, applied some "wetfire" and got a fire going sufficient to warm us up.
Cold, cold, cold and very desolate.
After lunching on some hot burritos, we returned back to the trucks.

Is bigger better?
Hey have a 2012 can an 500 max, I have converted it to dual A arm suspension in the front and I'm running hot shocks. Have a k&n air filter with a mbrp exhaust on it and put a dalton clutch kit in it.
It had 25" stock. I put a used set of 27" did not notice much of a different in power loss. I sold the 27" and I'm going to buy a new set of tires but not sure what size to go with. I plan on running first gen can an head lock rims.
Am I killing my bike by running larger tires? Am I going to have to replace bearings, bushing, shocks or motor sooner by running larger tires?
Dose any one know how big I can go on a first gen 500?

2016 can am xmr 570
Hey everyone. New to Site. Been riding few years. Wondering if anyone knows if you can put a yoshi pipe on 570 xmr
570 saves yxz
I got to say I’m pretty impressed with the 570. So I’m out on the trails and I spotted people taking turns trying to pull a yxz out of the mud and up a hill so I went over to see i they needed help. The only quad that was moving it was a 850 sportsman but was still was unsuccessful. So I decided to give it a try not expecting to get any where with my 570 and maga mayhems but to my surprise it pulled it right out and I pulled him all the way back to his truck with no problem.
