I have as the title reads a 19 Outlander 450 that has an issue with stalling. I have about 60 miles on it and it’s happened since day 1. Starts right up, isles fine, and runs fine. The issue is, if it’s been idling and I have it in gear and I just hit the gas to go it’ll stall. Starts back up fine then goes. I can avoid this if I “feather” the gas to start. For instance, yesterday I was driving around in low picking up sticks. I’d stop, put the parking break on, hop off, get on, disengage the PB and hit the gas and every few times it stalls.
I brought it to the dealer for the first maintenance and told them. They changed the spark plug and told me that’s “norma” operation for the 450 because of “new emissions laws”. This sounds insane to me. I have a 2019 that’s “supposed” to stall? What do you guys think?
