May Purchase First Polaris

Hey guys, I am purchasing a new ATV soon and interested in the 2019 XP in blue. I’ve never owned a Polaris. I currently have a 16 Grizzly with several add ons such as Elkas, three sets tires, JBS kit, etc. and love the machine. I also have three Honda’s and will be selling two of them to upgrade to a bigger bore ATV. I’m here to look up information and learn from you all. Thank you

Hello I’ve just joined and wanted to share some things I’ve done. I’ve recently acquired s used 2003 600 twin. It has been sitting up about 10 years or more and hasn’t even been cranked. I have redone carburetor, replaced All bushings, steering column bushing, right ft axle, all by trial and error. Now I’m waiting on new brake shoes I’ve removed all calipers cleaned them and flushed all brake lines. I changed all fluids and filters and flushed radiator. New gas lines and new 3 way fuel switch. New battery. I’ve never done anything like this before but I’ve learned many things to share. But now I have one problem I can’t figure out. Until today my speedo was working fine but not now. It moves but it’s jumping and at about 35-40 with full throttle it loses power. I’ve got about 800$ in it and I’m determined to get it back in great condition. I don’t much want to spend more money but might have to. Help please

Sportsman 110

Hey there. I just picked up a Polaris Sportsman 110 for my son. The machine has lock and ride racks on the front and back and Ive looked all over the internet for compatible storage boxes for the rear but cant find any. Does anyone know of a trunk that will fit on the back of a Sportsman 110? Also wondering if the machine will accept a winch on the front. I know a winch is overkill but my son wants the same stuff as his dad.

Thanks in advance

04.5 600 clutching questions

Hi all, long time lurker here...

Bought myself a 04.5 sportsman 600 this summer, has 1250 miles on it as of now.
In an effort to chase a little power out of it, I installed a k&n and a dynojet jet kit. Now I'm wanting to clutch it (I think)
Not planning on running huge tires, probably stay stock or bump up to 26's at the most. I trail ride an use the quad when hunting, mudding to us consists of puddles once in a while. I'm larger then most riders at 375#, usually carrying another 40-60# of gear when hunting.

Looking to get a little more bottom end grunt and throttle response. Was pretty well set on buying an epi clutch kit, but when researching other brands I came across dalton saying the 600 is vibrated pretty good from the factory, and they only sell a different spring. After seeing that, I figured I'd pop on here and ask your general thoughts on a full kit, vs a spring only for a 600?
Money is not the deciding factor here, if the full kit is worth the money, I'll order that. If the spring gets me 95% of the way there though, I may stick with that.
Thanks in advance!

Road tires for Ranger ETX and Sportsman 570

Hi guys.
Greetings from Norway!

I drive a Polaris Ranger ETX and a Polaris Sportsman 570, both with stock tires.
I guess i drive 80% of the time on asphalt, and the rest on easy gravel. No mud and water, just old timer driving.
The stock tires are 25x8-12 and 25x11-12 on both machines.
Both are registred as tractors. The ranger is locked at 80 km/h (about 50 pmh), and the Sportsman 570 is locked at 60 hm/h (about 37 mph). However i have a unit i can remove the speed lock on my Sportsman 570.

I would like to put road tires on at least one of them.
Can you guys give me a tip about what sort of tires, what size and on which macine i should use them?

Thanks from a newbie.

My new wheels don’t fit!

Hey guys, I need some advice here...

I have a 2008 Sportsman X2 700 EFI with stock Polaris steel wheels and Carlisle 489 tires. I picked up a set of brand new Polaris steel wheels (pull-offs from a 2016 or later Sportsman) for cheap off Craigslist. I thought I was good to go, so I ordered up a set of Kenda Bear Claw HTRs and had them mounted on my new wheels. Well, today when I went to mount them up, the wheels don't fit my hubs. Apparently Polaris changed the hub size somewhere along the way and now the center hole in the stock steel wheels is smaller than mine. The bolt pattern seems to match, but these new wheels just aren't going to mount to my hubs.

So I'm looking for advice on how to solve this problem. Here's my options as I see them now. If anybody has any better ideas, lemme know.

Option 1: Put new tires on old stock wheels. Only problem is that my front left wheel is dented pretty good (previous owner hit a big rock) and it doesn't hold air more than a few days. Can a wheel like this be repaired? Maybe I just pick up a new front wheel...

Option 2: Buy a set of new ITP Delta Steel wheels and get my new tires swapped over and go on with life!

Option 3: Would a set of wheel spacers make these new wheels fit my hubs?

Option 4: Will a set of wheel hubs from the new Sportsmans bolt up to my machine?

I've attached some pictures that may help. Lemme know what you guys would recommend. Thanks!

Andy
