New can am scheduled service

Hello all. I recently got a new x3t and was given a service schedule for 100 and 200 hours respectively. They said these were 500$ to 700$ labor only with no description of whatwould be done for this price. Are these services necessary and can I get a description from my dealer as to what they will be doing for this amount ? Thanks for any input.

Under performing brakes?

Hey guys, I just picked up my second hand 2016 570 Outlander Max XT and took it for its first ride this weekend. It was AWESOME! Power seemed more than enough lol. Lots of fun out in the snow.

When it came to breaking with the hand lever, it felt possibly a little underwhelming. Like it might have been the snow underneath, but I don't recall any skidding.
When should I be swapping out the brake pads? Just checked the brake fluid reservoir on top of the handle bars and it looks to be nicely full.
Looking for tips on improving the breaking performance.

I'm new to the mechanical world so bear with me :) I'm learning.

Thanks!

Empire slip on Review ?

Hi looking for some feedback on Empire slip on exhaust for a Outlander 1000r . I am trying to decide between Yoshimura and an Empire slip on , This would be a single slip on not the dual . I have searched for a few days for a sound clip of a Empire and have had no luck ? I like that Empire has a simple quiet core to install and remove same with just spark arrestor . Any feed back would be great ! :smile

CVT exhaust question

Hey gents,
So I kept noticing that the snorkel kits have three tubes. Air intake, CVT intake and CVT exhaust. However my ‘18 Rene XMR 1000 has two...Air intake and CVT intake. It appears the CVT exhaust runs up near the top of the dash cover and then bends down towards the top of the suspension. Curious as to why it doesn’t vent out the top, making it truly water proof to the snorkel. Anyone care to comment on this and if anyone has remedied the issue?

Xp 1000 sportsman

So I replaced the belt with a g-force belt and am following the break in procedure , still not seeing much difference in snappy take off , buffed the surfaces of both clutches and cleaned all casings . I do see that the primary clutch spring is yellow . Just wondering if this is a stock spring or is this causing my problem . Previous owner has clutched it up maby ?

Seperated the primary

My first post here, I bought a new max xt 850 in 2016. I've done all my own servicing from day one, which has been fine. I'm pretty anal and know tools, so not much deters me from fixing stuff myself.
I have 3000km on my machine. I've just replaced all fluids, checked the valve slack, replaced brake pads, lubed the one way and replaced the belt.
When I pulled the primary I had a brain fart and seperated the halves to clean it up and didn't mark it before hand.
I put it back on with just a guess and using some markered numbers from the factory.
Am I gonna be in for a surprise if I try to run it?

Photo’s of HID beams Hi/Low against a wall?

Looking to order more sets of HID kits. Anyone have beam photos of both Hi and Low HID against a wall? Swapped in a a set of 4300k HID 9005's over lunch and they're an ugly blue color. Maybe as the bulbs were from a set of 55watters. Anyway, If anyone has some photos that'd be cool. Otherwise i'm sure i'll end up figuring it out.

Depending on how it functions I'd like to throw 55w 3000k HID's in the low-beam for a good flood throw but may consider swapping the low beam and high beam harnesses at the HID's kits so the projectors become low stuff them with 55w 4300k HID.

PS despite the 2017 Operators Guide - The H1 low beam bulb spec is still H11. Hopefully this helps someone. I'll post photos of what I end up with in return.
