Defender floor weakness

I have a 2016 Defender 8HD XT that is on it’s 3rd season. I love just about everything about it but hate one thing. The weakness of the floors. A month into my ownership I was on a grass farm road next to an established lane of trees. A limb about 1” in diameter poked a hole through the passenger side plastic just in front of the floor board...at the time, the hole looked so perfect I assumed it was some type of intended drain hole. However, since that time I’ve received a half a dozen or so hits by small limbs on BOTH driver and passenger in what looks like the same place. The floorboard is not the weak point rather right in front of it where your toes would rest...my questions:

1) Anyone else has had problems with the durability of this point.
2) Anyone know if there are factory skid plates my dealer may have left off.

I’m not beyond putting aftermarket skids on the underbody but wanted to bounce off others first.

I’m new to forum so if I can figure out how to add pics of damage I will.

Stalls when in gear hitting the throttle

I towed my sportsman up to the mountains in some snow. When I reached my destination I turned on my sportsman and it was idoling without a problem (no rough idol.) When I put it in H, L, N, or R and hit the throttle the red check engine light comes on and it stalls. Has anyone had this issue??

Tried on a some new tires now can’t decide between 33s and 35s

Well a buddy of mine ordered a set of 35" outlaw 3s for his rzr and I couldn't stop myself from trying em on. Now I want to sell my tires and get a set. I'm not sure between 35s and 33s was amazed the power it had I pulled front wheels off the ground in high without trying on the 35s but am little worried about axle reliability. Running dhts in the front and rhino 2s out back. Just curious what everybody has to say about this

New member Steve

Hello everyone I am a new member on this forum and I just bought a 2019 can am outlander 650 XT. I traded my 2011 Grizzly 550 eps for this! What should I expect in differences between the two? Well all everyone's help would be appreciated and your help with my questions will be greatly appreciated.

Steve

Chains on a Sportsman 500?

I'm in the process of putting a Moose plow on my 09 Sportsman 500. We live in the mountains of northern Vermont and there are no flat driveways here. It has been recommended that I put chains on all four tires but I read somewhere on this board that it is not a good idea to put chains on the front tires because it could eventually damage the transmission. Can anyone verify one way or the other whether this is true? Thanks. Tony

Check oil hot or cold

Ok I had a little oil I’m the air box,, figured the PO overfilled.. sure enough I took almost a pint out to bring it to the correct level, I did this with the engine warmed up,
No checking it cold it’s down a little just below the full level,,, I’m sure it’s fine but what’s the proper procedure
