Hello, I have a 2002 Polaris Sportsman 700. I have been having issues with it not starting especially when cold. Have a new battery and replaced the spark plugs, and checked for spark which was good. I'm now looking at a fuel issue. The question I have is, if I remove the fuel line going into the carb and turn it over and gas flows out from the hose, can I eliminate the fuel lines, filter and fuel pump? Am I correct that this quad has two fuel filters? When I try and start the quad it give a quick indication that it wants to run and then the starter just goes and goes and I sometimes get a backfire. Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Wondering if anyone knows if the 2018 xmr renegade 1000 floorboards will fit a 2015 xxc renegade 1000. Trying to get more clearance between the back tire and fenders.

Located in NS Canada, I just purchased a 2018 Sportsman 850 SP last week. I also picked up the Heat Demon Grip and Thumb Warmers and the ClickNGo2 Plow. I've had a few small hiccups with the accessories thanks to my dealers mechanic but never the less I am excited for the adventure that lies ahead. I will post any issues I have to the forums. Does anybody know what OEM part #'s are needed to install just the cvt exhaust on a 2018 570 max dps away from the left side? Thought about DIY but i'd like to keep the install clean and OEM looking..

I bought a new 570 touring earlier this year mainly because I wanted a new quad as I'm getting a bit old for my 400ex. I also wanted something to leave at my mother's house so she could plow with it. She lives in an area that sees about 220" of snow a year.

I ordered a 60" Denali plow in the summer, the only thing I didn't like was her having to get off the quad to turn the plow, so I started googling all sorts of things. I just didn't want to pay $600ish for the motoalliance actuator. I saw a few people use a winch setup, but none of them had any comments on durability.

Cabelas has a complete motoalliance Midnight Viper winch for $79 shipped. This winch has a hole straight through the drum so you can have the rope pulling in either direction, you just run one side under the drum and the other side over. I cut a 20 foot section and ran it through the hole 50/50, then wrapped it around the drum.

I welded the winch plate to two 3/16x1 steel bars. I then welded that to the push tubes of the plow. I then hooked up the winch switch to the orange/yellow wire, the contactor and ran the blue/yellow wires down to the winch on the plow.

I went to Ace hardware and bought two turnbuckles, ferrules and clamps for the wire rope. Now... I had to plan this 240 miles away from mom's house so what I currently have needs improvements, mainly heavier turnbuckles and different power management going down to the winch.

The hardest part was taking 25 minutes getting the rope tight around the drum, I had my nephew help me with that part once it was assembled and hooked up to the skid feet.

Will it last all season? I dunno. The wire rope is going to be the weak link because of the angle against the fairlead. It's setup to take apart in a minute if the rope does break. All in I'm under $100, if it's a shit idea I still have a spare winch out of the deal.

According to the manual it is a spark arresting design.
Is this design ok with the US Forest service? I see they require compliant approved spark arrestors to ride there, such as this.

North Carolina ATV Regulations:

Every ATV operator must wear eye protection and a helmet meeting U.S. DOT standards.
The exceptions to the helmet rule do not apply to the beaches of Cape Lookout National Seashore.
Passengers may not be carried on an ATV unless it was specifically designed by the manufacturer to carry passengers in addition to the operator.
Currently (December 2010) there are only three brands - Arctic Cat, Can-Am, and Polaris - which make a multi-passenger ATV.
Modifying any single passenger ATV for an extra passenger does not meet the "specifically designed" section of the law.
All ATVs must be equipped with a brake system, an effective muffler system and a U.S. Forest Service qualified spark arrester, all maintained in good working condition.

An ATV operated at night, from one-half hour after sunset to one-half hour before sunrise, and at anytime when visibility is reduced, must display a lighted headlamp and tail lamp.

Hi, my name is wayne, in 2001 i bought my first ATV, it was a Polaris Sportsman 330. other than being way underpowerd it wasnt to bad until it got hard to steer and after looking all over the frontend had broken away from the frame 2 months after i bought it, the dealer told me it was because i wrecked it but that easnt the case but they welded it back together and it broke off a few weeks later the dealer again said i was crashing it but that was not the case, anyway i sold it swearing to never buy another Polaris product again. Its been 18 years and thinking I have to have a 1000 Sportsman or Scrambler for way more power than i need. what should i do? Stay Yamaha or give Polaris another chance? Thanks :|

Im looking at buying a used 2018 with 240 miles on it or a brand new 2019. What all has changed? They look identical and finding info is difficult. All i have found is a change to rear suspension and front sway bar? Have read were some were saying the transmission got tweaked a bit. So drop me the skinny on what all changed. Would help this purchase out greatly.
