Radiator Relocate – 2017 Sportsman 570
Hi Polaris friends. I am hoping for some help. A friend built me a custom rad relocate for my 570 and i am not sure what type of hose to buy to extend from the new rad location back down to the engine? I know I will need to use some 90 deg barbed fittings, i just don't know what type to use? I am in Toronto, Canada
Thanks everyone. I will post pics soon.

Need pointers while the Max XT-P 850 arrives :)
Hey guys, tomorrow will know how long will my quad take to arrive, but my guess probably 2 weeks. In the mean time, I'd like the input from current and previous Max XT-P 850 owners (or at least max or 850 owners) on the following topics, where recommendations were all over the place:
1. Break-in. Please post only if done different than the book. Most folks I talked to from quads to side-by-sides did absolutely no break-in. I'd like to do some, so let's hear your method :).
2. Switching from 2x4 to 4x4 (and viceversa). Heard horror stories about crunching the tranny. Even though it's supposed to be 'on the fly' WHEN OFF THE THROTTLE, supposedly not quite. So please enlighten me when (and how) it's safe to switch from one to the other, including max speeds and throttle opening.
3. Low range. Also confused when to use. What's the max speed you can use it? I'm planning to climb a very long super steep hill called 'the wall'. On my friend's top-of-the-line Maverick X3 Max turbo R (172HP), he had to do it at WOT, and had to speed up quite a bit. He almost lost control of the car with the transition, bottomed out the suspension, and gave me a back ache for weeks (failed to tighten my core while filming). He made it at a good clip, so was wondering if I could climb it without so much momentum, but in low range, as not to run out of power, because it'd be royally screwed. There's no way to make a U-turn like on a wide dune.
4. How limited will my 850 max be to climb a steep hill with a passenger? Would the engine run out of power (without momentum) before it's dangerous to flip backwards with a passenger, or the other way around? Regardless of the answer (probably the latter), how do you guys judge that? I'm 165 lbs and my daughter around 125, if it matters. My wife is also 125, but wouldn't do close to the limits with her. My daughter is the adventurous type, but want to be safe with her. When alone, I might push it closer to its limits, but also safely. Hopefully the added wheelbase will be an advantage at high speed on the sand (Rio Grande river is empty most of the year, and it's the quickest way to get to different trails).
5. What's the approximate top speed of the Max XT-P 850? Don't think will top it out, but just curious. The Polaris XP1000 is 81 mph indicated (a crazy dude on the autobahn. Yes.). And a Renegade 1000 (not the XMR) 68, I think. So has to be equal or less for the heavier Max XT-P.
6. Finally, have any of you switched from thumb to either grip or index throttle? Hopefully there're kits for that. Aggressive trail riding should be less hairy with EPS, but still, nothing like having a full grip of both bars. All suggestions welcome.
That's it for now, but feel free to add any other topic that might benefit me. Thanks in advance for your help gang. Hope to :th_smiliewoo:soon :th_smiliewavey:.

oil plug washer
snow is almost all gone, took the bike out of the shed yesterday. Am going to change the oil, went to the local bolt and screw place to get a washer and all they had is a solid aluminum washer so picked one up. Any concerns about using this instead of the copper crush washer?
