OEM Battery question

Im looking for a battery and getting internet overload
I have it down to 2 that I believe will work for the 2015 850
Any opinions??
Does anyone have any info on the OEM-30AH,12 VOLT,AGM battery,Part number 4014609?
Polaris says it wil fit,I think it needs the bracket(BRKT-BATTERY,30AH [USED W/4011224])
but it looks bigger.I cant find any measurements for it

Was also looking at the Odyssey PC925L Battery. Read some guys on here use it but you need some Brackets

Kids atv tyres killing my grass, ways to prevent?

Hi,

Winter is coming and I was thinking about doing a track for the kids so that they can drive with their Polaris Predator 90. Track is mostly gravel but they have to drive through our yard which is grass. Polaris 90 is not as heavy as adult atv's are but it will definitely destroy grass from that area no matter how much it weights. Of course atv tyres are the worst things for grass too..
So, is there anything that can be use as cover for the grass? I'm going to plow as much snow to that route as possible but it will eventually disappear as they drive like maniacs.
Or should I just give up..

Sportsman 570 autotune

My buddy has a 2018 sportsman 570 eps and has installed a dynojet power vision. He downloaded a tune but they have nothing for full exhaust. My question is, if he welds in a o2 sensor bung can he use the autotune kit for the 2014 - 2016 570 on his 18. No one around here will do custom dyno tuning for him. Thanks

Cooling your engine down with fans

This may sound like a stupid question, as I'm prone to ask sometimes. But...I drive a '96 Cherokee with the inline 4.0 non-interference engine and it doesn't like driving in the heat so much. Since I'm a car down right now I'm driving it a LOT more than I used to. After a lot of driving in this hot weather it starts slower, but still starts and runs ok.

So to help it out I've been raising the hood and putting 2 box fans right on top of the engine to help it cool. I hadn't thought about it but my Mom asked if cooling it down too quickly could be bad for the engine. And since I don't know I thought I'd ask here.

Any harm in using my method to cool an engine down much more quickly than normal?

Random complete loss of power!

2011 Polaris sportsman touring 850 EPS.

This has been happening off and on for the past couple of seasons, but I’m fed up now.

I was out bird hunting the other day. It’s must've happened at least half a dozen times. I’m driving along, and my bike just randomly loses all power, the engine shuts off dead. So I put it in park, turn the key back on, and It powers up and starts EVERY time.

Not once has this left me stuck, but it dies and comes to a dead stop often enough that I need to fix it now.

I’ve noticed it was happening on sudden up and/or down sections of the trail, conditions were wet and muddy. I’m not sure if that play a role.

I still have the original battery, it was tested recently and is apparently still good. I’ve recently changed the plugs as well. The issue was present prior to that.

Anyone have this happen?. Ideas?:eek
