Outlander Fuel Line I.D. PART 529036029

I want to go to Grainger and buy the few parts required to make my own "Fuel Pressure check T fitting"
CanAm part # 529-036-029 that CanAm is asking over $50 for when the DIY parts will run about TEN bucks from Grainger.

I havent had the side panels off yet so, does anyone know the fuel line I.D so I can get the right size tee fitting, line and barbs. A Forum SEARCH doesnt show it.

Dry light grinding noise when in P

I am getting a horrid grinding noise. Its not super loud but you can 100% tell something is not right. Sounds like a dry bearing. It dissapears when in L, R or H but as soon as you put it into P it is there.

Is that gearbox or CVT noise? What would you recommmend I check?

Houston new guy

New to 4 wheelers; although I rode a 3 wheeler once & almost died in 1980 something. Anyway, I bought a Can-Am 450 L model after driving my in-laws 570 outlander. Hope to learn some stuff on this forum & give my limited opinions.

Max with front tire.

Hi all.
I just bought a Sportsman 550 EFI and Itring to find front tires for it. The specs call for a 29x8-14. However I'm wondering of a 26x 9 or a 26x 10 would also go on it with out too much trouble. Anyone have an idea?

Will potentially buy a Defender Max XT HD10. Looking for Feedback.

New to forum. I'm looking to possibly purchase a Defender Max XT HD10 or a 2019 Polaris Ranger Crew 1000. I've been trying to do research before buying (because that is what I do). I currently own a '99 Polaris Sportsman 500 atv, and have not had a single issue, but I also take care of my toys and don't beat them up. I know the reputation that Polaris has, but not sure if they have fixed any of those issues with the 2019.

Anyways, I was looking for feedback on the Defender Max XT HD10. What are common failures with the Defenders? The only thing I've found so far is that it is sometimes hard to shift in gears. Not sure if there is a fix for this? Any other problems? Any recommended mods to improve reliability?

Is there a year to stay away from? Did they make changes to certain years to improve upon others? I have been looking at a used 2017 Defender Max XT HD10. Wondered if I should stay away from a 2017 for any reason?

How is it on engine noise and gear train noise? Rattles and squeaks would drive me crazy.

The vehicle will be primarily used for camping with the family and hunting. It won't be used for work.

Thanks for any feedback to a potential buyer......

2008 outlander 400 xt efi – hard shifting – changed one ways but….

my 400 has been a hard shifter since i got it. changed the oil and it did seem to help a little. i had read all about the one way and how it would solve all my problems. pulled the primary and got the bearings out. they were a bit stiff, but not terrible. the friction washer was not there, but i had read that some ppl remove them for shift issues any way. got it all back together, leaving the cover off so i can watch it. it's still hard shifting. the one way sleeve never turns, not even a little, when the throttle is off (probably because no friction washer). bump the gas, it engages then disengages, sometimes i can then shift (presume the gears are aligned better). going from park, i can usually get P, N, R easily, but getting into drive gears is tricky. once in the drive gears, i can usually get from L, H, N, R w/o issue, but getting into P is difficult. sometimes it goes through them all w/o a problem. i notice that when i can't get into H/L, if i do get it to go, the one way sleeve moves slightly, allowing it to engage.

is there something i'm missing or need to do? would the friction washer give me a little 'movement' on the one way sleeve when the throttle is off, making it easier to shift?

any ideas would be great. thanks.

High Lifter mods

I love seeing what everyone else is running, and to see how others combat water and mud, and heat, and....

I had to replace my exhaust, it had rotted away, and I had several leaks, like 50. The head pipe seal was perfect, but from there back, holes and leaks. Put on a HMF Swamp series with a snorkel pipe. Added a EJK fuel modifier and have always run a Uni Filter.
Had one fan crap out, replaced it with an OEM unit, and constantly spray them both with a water and rust inhibitor. Cut slots all over the stock radiator cover to help get the heat out. Running the fuel modifier helped a lot with heat, and cooled down the actual exhaust pipe.
Put on a new belt, thought about installing the Dalton primary spring, but I really have no problems with the clutching with the stock sized tires. I can always spin the tires in the muck, broke one front axle, replaced it with a Cobra unit, visually bigger, seems stronger. Tires are getting chunks taken out of them, but still have tons of life left in them.

Should have taken more pictures when the bike was apart, and I was installing the new stuff. But, it's all back together now, and running well, need to get it dirty.
