2018 850 SP A-arm protection

I just purchased a 2018 SP and was looking for some plastic style A-arm protectors, the 850 has the curved A-arms and I am finding some for the XP but not sure if they would fit the SP model, any recommendations ?

Hi from Argentina

Hi, I'm from Argentina and I'm happy to have an Outlander MAX XT 800R.
At the moment I only had to clean the ignition drum because it made a false contact and did not recognize the key.
I hope to learn many more things from you and if I can help in something it would be great!

1st ride on 2019 Renegade 850xxc

Took out the 850xxc yesterday for the first ride.
Initial impressions was that it was super stiff from the factory with the stock settings.
The machine beat me up all day...lol
Tire pressure was about 8lbs, could have gone a little lower though.

The owners manual states:
Front HScomp - 2.25 turns CCW from full stop (3.25 turns total)
LS comp - 2.25
Rear HS comp - 2.25
LS comp - 2.25
Rebound front and rear - 12 clicks CCW from full stop

After the initial ride, I went home checked the shock setting and to try to adjust the SAG or ride height first. I was a little surprised to see that the adjustment collars are about 2.5" from the top shock body. I could not loosen the shock springs anymore the springs would fall out if I did, so I could not adjust the ride height or sag on my machine. Im a 160lbs rider with gear.

Also noticed that Can Am is using a dual rate spring setup on their newer machines. Not sure about the Outlanders but Renegades do have them.

So I guess its just about using the shocks compression adjustments to get it to ride like I want it to.
I adjusted all the compression setting to full soft.
HS - 1 turn from full soft
LS - 1/2 turn from full soft
rebound - 8 turns from full damp, 25 clicks total

I will ride again with these setting and firm up the settings until I get it where I like it.

Cornering the new Renegade is alot different than other Rene or Outty's ive ridden. The newer Renegade corners really flat and level due to the sway bar.
No diving or lean in corners.
Ill report back after I ride it again next week. So far, I love it!

05 ds650

I had the valves adjusted by a 30yr atv veteran, guys had his own shop for every bit of 30+ but anyhow I had him install new big gun full exhaust plus the big gun CDI, Jetted, K&N filter and adjust the valves and when it came back it seems abnormally loud to me!! I added a video listen to it and tell me your thoughts!! At operating temp oil pressure runs around 25 to 28 psi!! Nevermind it won't allow me to post a video

Reverse Light?

Anyone hook up a reverse light? I could use a reverse light on my 17 570. Is it possible with current wiring or do I have to add a new switch and all wiring? I would use an LED. Thanx

Wheel offset and bolt pattern

Hey i have a 2018 sportsman 450.
I'm currently running a set of carlisle act 12x8's and 12x10's for tires on the stock rims
I want a second set of 12" rims for the stock tires for running during the summer, but can't find a solid answer as to the stock rim offset and bolt pattern.
Polaris wants too much in my opinion for another set of the stock steel wheels.
So what offset is usable with my current tires without using spacers?
Also any suggestions on a good set of rims that will work with my 12" tires would be appreciated, without breaking the bank :wink

Howdy from SE Oklahoma

Purchased a 450 ho eps back in 2016. Awesome bike, but really wanted it to ride on a larger wheel for ranch chores. Wasn't easy trying to find pics on the web of a 450 with larger tires, but finally decided on the KENDA Bearclaw 26" tire set-up with ITP 14"machined aluminum wheels. Now, this machine has transformed to its potential work hoss status. Very pleased with it.
