Hello Folks,

New to the forum and I'm looking for answers and confirmation. I am working on a 2016 450 HO that has some starting/running issues.

It will start, though it is hard to get it to start and it will run, spitting, sputtering and backfiring all the way. Here is what I have done...

Replaced fuel with non-ethanol fuel
replaced spark plug
removed and cleaned injector
charged battery

Here is what I believe to be the problem at this moment. I removed the spark plug to check for spark. As I was holding the boot and placing the spark plug against a metal surface and turning the engine over, I got charged... That tells me that the boot is leaking spark, right? Or is there something else I am missing.

Also, I'm told that the bike was running and then started running rough to the point it would run anymore. When I got ahold of it the battery was low. Battery isn't very old and is charging as I type this.

I have a 2008 Scrambler 500 4x4, everything works on it perfectly, except the 4wd when in reverse.

Now, it DOES work, but it's kind of a pain to get it to engage.

When I put it in reverse (holding down the override button obviously), 4wd will not work unless I rev the engine a few times, where the rear wheels will spin, and then randomly it will engage the fronts and work from then on (although sometimes if I let off the throttle it will disengage the fronts again, requiring some more revving for it to engage again).

I have changed the oil in the front hubs, not sure what else to look for considering it works fine in forward gear, and does also work in reverse, but need to rev it a few times to get it to engage.

Also, the override button seems to be functioning correctly as well, considering if I hold it in I can go to higher speeds in reverse without it cutting the ignition.

Anyone know what wires I can disconnect to bypass the override switch in the mean time for testing?

I have a 2016 sportsman 850 H.O. that recently has been displaying a strange code on the cluster (OV ##.#) # - different numbers. I cant find anything about it in my owners manual, online, fellow Polaris owners, etc. So im hoping someone on this forum knows what im talking about and explain it. Thanks

Not sure if I’m posting in the right area. But I bought a wet sound stealth bar and had it installed on my rzr. Recently traded some odd ball stuff for another stealth bar. My question is can I install both on my rzr and have them connected together some how? Not sure if they have to be wired together some how or what would need to be done. Any advise helps. Thanks an advance!!!!

Hello all!

I am new to the forum and this is my first post.

I have a 2000 Trail Boss 325 that will run strong for about 10 minutes then wants to die. I can keep it running by pulling the choke slightly and only giving it about 1/4 throttle, which I have to do so as not to have to push it home.

I have done a carburetor cleaning and all circuits are clear. The diaphragm looks fine and all jets are clean as well. I will be bypassing the fuel pump today and employing gravity feed to eliminate the fuel pump as a possible cause. I read one post online that stated a top end rebuild would be necessary however, I'm not so sure as it runs strong for several minutes and that is not normally indicative of a bad top end in other bikes.

Could anyone direct me to a post on this topic or give me some of their expertise?

I am well versed in other brands however, this is my first Polaris.

I have a 2016 570 xp two up with 400 miles on it. The last few rides have been driving me nuts and the machine sounds like its 30 yrs old. Squeaking noise when throttle is depressed. Especially when I rock side to side. It sounds like it is coming from the intake going into the air box. If I push it to one side it will stop. Anyone have any ideas?? Thanks!! Hey guys, I’m new to having to maintain my own ATV and was wondering if you guys could diagnose a sound that I’m thinking is a bad wheel bearing. My 16’ 450 (no eps, no ebs) has 1700 miles on it. I ride it decently rough but nothing extreme. No real issues with it and have only Done an oil change. The past 500 or so miles I’ve been getting some terrible clicking/ rattling sounds in the front end of my 450. Both front wheels have a lot of play when on the ground, and when you jack it up wheel has a lot of wiggle. All my other suspension components seem tight and don’t have play. When you take the wheel off and grab the disc, there’s a lot of movement. Idk if this is normal but If the bike it sittin not turned on and i push it in neutral, like around my garage. It’s so stiff and I can barely push it like it’s all locked up feeling. My 570 I can push it with ease in neutral.

I’m looking to get a newer can am outlander xmr 850 or 1000, just from people that I know people are telling me to stay away from the 1000 because they have more problems because they have more hp? I don’t know if this is true or not or if the people I know are just blowing smoke out their @$$. I cant find anything online that say anything about it so any personal experiences? Any personal experiences and opinions would be awesome thanks!

Hi I have a Polaris 2000 Scrambler 500 2x4. I purchased a new axle part number 5133181 and I need jam nuts to fit. I was given part number 7547193 by a dealer who told me they no longer make that part. I searched on the internet and I cannot locate this part. The new axle has a more course thread than the old one. Does any know of an axle that would fit this new axle? Thanks
