Had a good weekend of riding even though I wasn't able to get out as much as I wanted to over the 3 day weekend. Was able to share one of our favorite trails with a friend who had never been on a night ride and had never been on any of the trails in our trail system. I know that I have photographed this particular trail before but was just great to get out after a very long week and with it being so easy to access and all pavement to the trail head makes it an easy one to share . So please bear with me and my photos. We rode well into the evening and actually ended up getting back to the truck at about 11:30. That made it a bit tough since we had another ride planned with some friends the next morning, but I was up at 5:00, and had both machines loaded and driving too meet them for breakfast by 6:10. We ate breakfast, drove to the trail head, and unloaded and on the trail driving by 8:15. Again it was a trail we have ridden already this year but these folks have only been up there in the winter riding sleds so it was a new experience for them to see it in the summer. I tried to take some different photos so I'm not posting the same thing, hope that everyone had a safe and enjoyable Labor Day. FF
Question for engine rebuilders
This is a question regarding the oil sieve in teh bowels of the crank case. With a oil filter I really don't understand the necessity of it. It is present on all BRP's engines AFAIK

Sportsman 570 clutch bearing issue
About 2 months ago I brought my 2017 sportsman 570 into my dealer because the clutch bearing was gone on it. They said that I was driving it to hard which I was a little but I thought it could handle it.They fixed it and it worked fine for those 2 months and I didn’t drive it much but when I drove it. I drove it fairly easy, but I had it out tonight just for a little ride and when I got home it was doing the exact same thing it did last time the bearing went on it. So I don’t know why it would frig up again so soon.wether the dealer ship did something wrong or it was just shit luck, I want to do it myself. So if any one has gone through this before it would be much appreciated if you shared with me anything that I should know when doing it like if there anything I should look out for or also change when I’m doing it. Thanks
Suzuki king quad ridder switching to can am
Hey folks, I got a buddy that owns a 2015 king qaud, and loves the power and handling of my xmr 1000 and want to get a new can am. He's about 325 lbs. and occasionally carries his lady. I suggested the outlander xt versus the max model because the longer wheel base is good for two up riding but most of his riding will be done solo. Any input on units that will accommodate his weight with good handling and an occasional passenger would be greatly appreciated. Live in central MN and do variety of types of riding, not just strickly trail riding. Thanks for any input.
2011 400 xt outlander p codes
this worked for me on my 2011 outlander 400 xt.
To read the active code, do the following with the engine off.
In nuetral.
1) Turn the key to the lights ON position.
2) Use the mode button to scroll to the Engine Hour (EH).
3) Press the mode button once more and hold it while
4) Quickly (very quickly) toggle the HI LO switch. A minimum of 3 toggles within 2 seconds of pressing/holding the mode button
if there is no P-Code, the "No Active P Codes" will be displayed.
if there is any P-Code, it will be displayed.
if there is more than one P-Code it will automatically scroll.
once the last P-Code is displayed, gauge displays "END" then defaults back to normal operation. The p code will not be displayed again once you turn the ignition off so keep a record.
i still dont know how to clear the maintenance required after getting a p1654. if someone can help let me know.

2013 850 is a dog!
I just picked up a used 2013 850 scrambler, seems to run fine, but from a dead stop, my 2016 sportsman 450 beats it till about 40mph, the 850 doesn't even pull the front tires off the ground, any ideas about what maybe going on with it? I was thinking maybe the belt is slipping, thanks!
