The rubber CV boots on my HD10 look like they are almost completely exposed to damage from brush and sticks. The only a-arm guards I have been able to find are plastic and don't seem to go far enough to protect the rubber boot. I'm looking for suggestions for a place to find arm guards that really protect the rubber CV boot.

Outlander 570 pro 2017
Hi all, has anyone else experienced double rear drive shaft failure within 6 hours of each other on a low 230 hour quad. It’s a 2017 outlander 570 pro used for farm work.
Thanks in advance

550XP in 6.5 box
Can't find a thread that addresses what I'm thinking about, so here is where I'm at.
I have a 2017 F150 with a 6.5 foot box and a 2011 550 XP, when I go hunting I haul a 14 foot aluminum trailer with a 8 foot slide in camper mounted on it. The trailer is pretty much loaded to the max so putting the atv on there is out of the question, getting a larger trailer is a pricey option I'm trying to avoid.
In order to pack it all I made an ATV riser for the box of the truck so I could load my machine in the back and keep the tailgate on [closed]. The problem? I'm in my early 60s and this set up scares the bejeezus out of me with the atv up at such an angle and having to climb down from there.
My question would my atv fit in the truck box with the gate closed with a mid height deck inside the box?? I could build a wood one something like this idea... https://autotruckdepot.ca/products/d...nt=29064600594
Or would I have to get one of those snowmobile decks or just bite the bullet and buy a 20 foot car hauler type trailer to carry it all??
Any links or advice appreciated.

Sportsman 850 Transmission
Hello Everyone
For anyone that has helped me out this far thanks. I started my bike break down and first off I broke 1 axle on the rear when I got it stuck which was fine with me. But after that I started the bike and and discovered that my clutches were engaging correctly however it would not turn the drive shafts (however the shafts would move freely by hand). Now I am at a thought that I may have broke the silent chain in the transmission now this did not expain why the rear diff locked up when it did unless the chain got stuck somehow then finally fell to the bottom when I jacked it up and started the breakdown.
My next step is to get me a clutch puller and pull the transmission since I have to do it anyway to replace the shift shaft I broke. My question for anyone is how many chains are in there because I have only ever heard of the reverse chain breaking however like I said I have no movement in the drive shafts what so ever when engaging the clutches so it would seem in my mind that it wasn't that one that I broke.

Had to wait out a flash flood on this weekend’s ride
An interesting day riding yesterday, we had to wait out a flash flood in Eagle Canyon, which is in the San Rafael Swell, in Utah. Not a rain cloud in the sky, and suddenly we are facing a good strong stream of water coming down the canyon right in front of us. We barely had time to pull over to somewhat higher ground. It never became a really large flood, but ran steady for well over an hour before we were certain it was decreasing, and not continuing to increase.

That pool of water ahead looked harmless enough, and I was tempted to try it. We came back the next day after the water had dropped, and that small pool of water was a 3 foot deep hole. I would have swamped the UTV if I would have tried to drive through it.

We turned around and went with the flow, because it was a shorter distance to get to an exit from the canyon.

I've been exploring the west for a long time now, and haven't come across too many of these. It's a wonder we don't see them more often.
I have since been told that the rain storm that caused this flood, was over 50 miles north of where we were at. We never even saw the rain storm.

Shock Advise
Looking to buy a 2018 Outlander Max XT 1000R and would like to know what shock package I should consider. I do know I don't want the stock shocks. I'm a big guy 330 lbs and trail ride anywhere and everywhere from the mountains of West Virginia to the mountains of Utah and even the red rock of Moab. I'm not a mud guy, but will at times. Thanks for any and all feedback.
2012 renegade 740 bore 20pct backfire
Hi all, recently I bored my 500 renegade too a 740 from GP. The machine runs great but at 20pct throttle 3500-4000rpm it back fires like crazy, Ive tried lean out and richen the fuel mixture it seems to get better the leaner I go. My question is would a 800 throttle body from a 2011 renegade fit fit on the 500 or will i need to add the 800 I take manifold and injectors with it? By the way it rips! Also cheaper than upgrading to a 800 lol. Thanks!

Transmission shifts into Low an reverse with difficulty, won't shift into Low at all. How do i go about fixing this problem?
