Hello,
I've seen people post the step out and rev limiter/ speed limit rpms of the bigger bikes but can't find it searching. Currently my bike runs great, feels strong, but won't pull all the way to top rpm.
In first service, the dealer took the belt off and checked everything to spec, said its all fine, greased the bearing and put it back together.
I have a winch and light bar on it, I'm going to disconnect both to see if one is maybe pulling power down and not getting enough spark, but this seems like a long shot. There's no skip or miss anywhere in the revs
I haven't totally tested my bottom end possible power loss, but when I first bought it, with a friend on back it was hard to keep the wheels down, now it dosent seem the same. It will still wheelie well in low range with just me on it, but not high range.
The one Number I can confirm and is driving me nuts tho, is the top end speed. It really feels like 7000rpm is all the bike has and it won't pull any more gear.
I have put new brake pads on, but it rolls free, drives straight, so I don't think it's a resistance problem. I have cleaned and greased air filter, but same as I've always done and have done on other can ams so I doubt that's the problem. I have a 570xt in my garage (friends I store) and in the same trail it fills its clock no problem. I have two friends with 650s I havent had a chance to drag race yet, to see just how down on power I am. I have also cleaned this 570s air filter and done its breaks... And it has no issues
The average rider probably wouldn't notice the power loss. But it's driving me fucking nuts lol. Lot of money for a new machine to not be getting all the funs out of it
Does anyone have any experiance with this? Another thing I haven't tried is putting the normal key in, and then switching back to the performance key just to see if that somehow snaps it out of it
Before anyone says "are you using the right key" yes I am, or else I also wouldn't get close to 110 as I think the normal key is limited to 70? Unless that's 70mph cause that's around 110kmph lol
I have had it on its back rack from going over wheeling a couple times, and it's been rolled on its side twice (nothing crazy, just aggressive tip overs lol. hasent rolled down a hill or anything) is it a thing that this can gum up spark plugs? I also read someone scared of greasing there air filter due to geting injectors gummy?
Right now my plan is to pull my light bar and winch power off, see if that helps, then swap Air filters with someone, after that it's pull the spark plugs? (heard front one isn't fun to get at)
I'm not sure what to do after that. Have another year left on warranty but it's a hard one for the dealer as they don't have a place to test it wide Open. They will see it being held wot and only getting 110 when they scan it tho. But that's all I got. Another test I was thinking was blocking it up in the air and running it to top speed and see if it fills the clock
Can anyone give me the rpm numbers I should be hitting? Engagement numbers, step out numbers, rev limiter numbers, your rpms at 110km. Max speed/rpm numbers? Anything would help
Thanks
