Hello -
Removed my Primary VForce clutch, stock secondary clutch and the clutch cover backplate. After putting it back together, found this washer / spacer under the ATV. Any idea where it came from and where it goes back on?

2005 700 sportsman its Carb. It is running a little rish but I was wondering after I pull Carb Off and celan it if it doesn't fix it is there anything in particular that could possibly cause this problem? it runs great and then im putt putting around and try nailing into throttle and it will start sputtering help somebody!!

Took my ‘09 550 xp out recently and after only 5 minutes I notice it wouldn’t accelerate up the hill I was climbing. Got to the top and let off the throttle and that was it. Pulled the dip stick immediately and while there was plenty of oil in there there was a lot of smoke coming out too.
About a month ago I adjusted the valves for the first time and maybe have 15 hours on it since. Total of 250 hours on the whole machine. I pulled the valve cover and everything looks tight still, I can not turn the motor over by hand, the starter will turn it but only for 2 seconds and then struggles.
Not sure what it needs yet Burbank I am struggling to find rebuild kits for this machine

Hi all, I recently picked up a low hours 2013 Sportsman. Its been great with the exception of Cold Start. I leave the gauges on Tach when starting.. I crank for about 5 full seconds and it reaches 500 rpms before I let go. There is no sign or hint of starting on the first try. I do it again and release at about the 500 rpm mark (5 sec) and it barely catches and after a few seconds runs stable.

However once warmed up if I shut it off and restart it a few minutes later it starts almost immediately. Less than a sec of cranking. It runs strong and responsive once warmed up. I tried to choke it a few times on the first cold crank and that usually ends in making the problem worse. I un-choke it and then it takes like 4 or 5 tries to get her going after that.

Soooo.. Is she too rich to begin with ?

I already ran a half tank of Seafoam and then added some to a full tank which I just started on..

Hey everyone back to it with another problem I have on my sportsman. If you seen my previous post of how i got it stuck back in January, at that same time my shifter stripped out, which it has done before and I just replaced the bellcrank and kept on moving however this time the whole shaft from the motor stripped out so now I need to replace it. However I have never broke down the motor before and would like any insight of how to go about it and maybe how hard it is to replace the part if anyone has any knowledge of it.

Before anyone says just take it to a repair shop just know I'm a simple country boy on a budget so spending several hundred on just labor is not an option for me right now.

Hello, I posted this in the magnum section with no luck yet so figured I'd try here. My mother lost her ATV keys so we bought a new ignition with keys and now it won't start. When you turn the key to the On/Run position the gauges all come on and you can start it with the pull start. If you try turning it over to start you get nothing. Already charged and checked the battery and it's all good. Any ideas or suggestions?

Bought a few weeks ago, and curious.....why do they call it a 450, when it has a 500cc engine? Also, AWD implies ALL 4 wheels will pull, yes, or no? I previously had a king quad with locking frt diff, was surprised this doesn't have one. So, not needed?

Engine is not turning over, I’ve change starter solenoid and ignition switch, any ideas what to do next. Just out of warranty

I was curious if any of you guys have tank bags?

Where i hunt in northern michigan we have seen cougars (sadly not the 2 legged kind), coyotes, and an occasional bear on the property. Typically when i hunt i have my rifle, and conceal carry a hand gun just in case. Also i am planning on riding some trails with the mrs, and with her being a nurse we would like to have a small med kit with us just in case.

Do you guys have any suggestions?
