2015 xp front gearcase fill plug

Used an English hex by accident, rounded hex socket plug on front gearcase fill plug. Failed to remove with extracting bits. Tig welded nuts and bolts to plug but could only access top side of plug so weld continually broke. Any other methods in this tight space? I plan on drilling it out and sucking up the $30 for a new one.
Does anyone know if it's a standard SAE plug?

Uncontrolled High revving from polaris predator 500

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my 04 polaris predator 500. It will start up and idle great, but then it it gets to operating temp./ warmed up and idles up extremely high so I run over to it and shut it off. When I am riding it and pull in the clutch it does the same, idles up extremely high. The only way I can control this is having a load on the engine such as applying the brake when it is in gear to keep the rpms were they should be. And no, it is not the idle screw. I swapped carbs from a parts four wheeler and it does the same thing. I also saw the thread when a dude had the same problem and it was his throttle cable. I have yet to get the new one in to see if that is the problem. Leaning towards a vacuum leak but I've coated that thing with carb cleaner and couldn't find anything. Any help would be appreciated!

New 570 no start condition

Got this 2019 last thursday and havent got to ride it yet. I did wire up an led light, its all stock other than that. Cranked it up to back it out of the garage lastnight with no problems. When i went to park it, it wouldnt start. I thought maybe the battery was low since it had been started a few times but not ridden so I put the charger on for a few hours. Came back out and it still wouldnt start so a few more hours with the charger and finally just pushed it back in the garage. I checked the started cables and they were both tight but i gave them a little turn anyway, same thing with the battery, still no start. So I just start turning the key on and off and finally it spun over and fired up. Did this two times in a row and then back to no start. Start turning the key on and off again and it started. I let it idle up to operating temp and let the fan kick on and thermostat open 3 times. Turned it off and restarted it half a dozen times afterwards with no problems. I came back out this morning and it wouldnt turn over again but finally did and started up. I had to go out of town for the day but called the salesman and he said to test the battery, which I did and got 12.3 volts in the machine and 12.5 off the machine. What do yall think, bad battery or starter solenoid?

Greasing front end with winch installed

Hey everyone, I have a 2017 Sportsman 850 and installed the Polaris 2500# winch. I have noticed since the install, greasing the front two upper control arm fittings is near impossible. Does anyone have any tips or tricks to easily access these without removing the winch or requiring two people to accomplish this? It seems the wiring is in the way and there is no easy access to get a grease gun fitting on the zerks.

Is there a grease tube or hose kit that I can install to relocate the fittings for easier access?

Snorkel kit test ?

Hello everyone! I’m sure many of you have installed your own snorkels before. I have a 2018 Sportsman and was wondering why when I cover the air intake snorkels it does not shut down??? I siliconed the he!! our of every connection and the airbox itself so I find a large air leak hard to believe. Is this a Polaris thing or did I do something wrong?

Bearing Grease Tools (570)

Hey folks,

I was just looking around at some bearing grease tools as I don't have anything yet for my ATV but noticed that they come in different diameters. So I checked Abbits online to confirm the bearing part numbers/sizes on my ATV and came across different part numbers for front and back bearings.

So the Sportsman 570's have 35mm in the front and 40mm in the back (mines a 2018)? I just wanted to be sure before I ordered some tools.

Also any recommendations for brands or which ones to stay away from? I mean, as long as it does the job it'll work.

Thanks,
Rich
