I am new to the utv world... I am looking at a 2017 800 commander dps with roughly 200 miles on it... I can get it for 8500 bucks? I have yet to look at it other than pictures... is this a good deal and is there any issues with this year/model? Seems like a deal hard to pass up. Machine looks clean in the pics.
Brake pads
So I pulled apart my rear trailing arms yesterday to lubricate my wheel bearings. As I pulled the brake caliper I noticed I had NO material left on the pads. My machine only has about 300 miles on it and was pretty surprised to see the amount of wear already. That being said I need new pads and was wondering what everyone was using as replacements. I tried to look up EBC Heavy duty sintered pads but could not verify fitment for my machine. I did find a front/rear set from Race Driven on Amazon. They are also HD sintered pads. Does anyone have any experience with this brand or perhaps know the part # for EBC?
2017 Wheel hub torque?
I see conflicting torque values on this site for front wheel(castle but) retaining nut. One has it at 80 lbs. for front and rear while another 60 lbs. front and 80 rear. Others have it a little beyond hand tight!

Am thinking of picking up a 2014 500 outlander xt. It has 17000km on odometer but he claims it is moslty road riding. $6000 canadian. Anything I should look for? I have always bought new before.
Instrument cluster ?
I have a 2016 Outlander Max 1000R. Just noticed the top button (triangle) is missing and I can't change modes. I don't see anything in the hole that looks like it can be depressed with a pencil or something. There's a small pin in the center of the hole but it does not depress or move that I can see. How does this button work if there is nothing for it to depress? Thanks.
Big Gun Evo Exhaust
I recently bought the slip on big gun evo exhaust muffler. The website says I need to have my quad tuned for the muffler. Do I really need to do this or is it just a general "cover our ass" warning? I don't want to have to buy a 300 dollar tuner if I don't have too.

18 defender xmr in limo mode
Boys I have a 18 defender xmr and put 200k on it. 11 hours. I went through a creek that was deep enough to get at the battery and all was fine. About a kilometer down the trail the bike went into limp mode and only went 3km a hour. It was good on oil, and coolant. Limped the Fucker home and let it sit a day now it has no engine light and revs fine. Would anyone know what coulda caused this issue because I'm heading for a two day trip and I don't want this to happen way up in the woods.
