Clutch / drive belt issue

2015 scrambler 1000...

After a long high-speed run in the sand, I cannot switch gears while the engine is running and, the bike "creeps" when in gear without pressing the throttle. obviously the belt is engaged.

I'm going on vacation for a month starting today, so I don't have time to rip it apart before I leave...
I'm wondering if anybody has had this issue, and what was done to resolve it. Would be nice to have the parts waiting for me to do the repair when I return from my travels.

I installed the QSC clutch kit, with the weights and springs a year ago and never had any trouble until now.

Thanks in advance

Complete replacement fuel pump

I have a 2013 outlander 650 and I am looking for a complete replacement for the fuel sender. Does any one know the part number and where to buy the complete sending unit.

Front storage options

I did a search, but did not see what I was looking for. The closest I came was "use the rear storage area, and mount something custom", that's not a bad idea per say, but, I have a 2 up, and there is no covered rear storage. I want to put bigger items in the front like straps, gloves, snatch block, ammo, and so on. When I stop someplace, I don't want to worry about someone taking my stuff. What have you come up with that will lock, not easily broken in to, and be secured to the frame at the same time?

Carburetor is loose where it attaches to engine: Sportsman 500

MY 2012 has been running poorly so I finally got around to removing the carb. Before I got the airbox and hose disconnected I could see the carb was not secured tightly to the rubber tube on the motor. So I wonder how long this has been going on ? A long time according to the dirt on one side of the carb flange that's supposed to be inside the rubber tube. I thought about calling the dealer where I bought it new, but figured I"d get the old excuse that it's too late, nothing they can do. So has anyone else had this problem, and is it possible to work loose over time or was it not put together properly from the factory ?

Starting problem 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. AWD

Hey ATV allies!
Owner of a 2004 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. AWD. Starting problem....Hoping to get some pointers.
I turn the key, instrument panel is live showing fuel level, current gear and all, just no click happening. My first thought is starter cooked - but before I spend a pretty penny there - maybe there's someone out there with few a tricks up their sleeves first?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions

HOT light on speedo

Just " re-aquirred" a 2005 sportsman 500 4WD HO from my ex that has been sitting a while. 79 hours on it 800 miles. I was going thru it to see what it needed and as soon as I turn the key on I get a HOT light on the pod and the speedo needle flashes. I don't have a sensor that I can find at the radiator although I did find one in the cylinder head. At ambient temp it reads about 1800 ohms and the resistance decreases as engine warms up. Fan never kicks on and I know the fan is good because I jumpered 12vdc straight to it and it operated. I followed the wires from the thermistor and they go straight to the sure pak thru a couple of connectors. Would it be safe to assume that the sure pak is junk? Fan not running and HOT light on?. Also I need some advice. I got the bike for $300 bucks and like I said it has 79 hors on it. I have it running right now (rough), needs some carb work, mag wont power anything so far. Other than the plastic faded, seat trashed and been sitting, it is s cream puff. What is this machine worth parted out. I need to make a decision on wich direction I am going before I put anymore money in it. Thanks in advance!

Advice/Thoughts on a used 2007 Sportsman 800

Hello,

I am new to the forums, Polaris and ATVing in general. I have been looking for an inexpensive decent ATV to get my feet wet and see how much time I can actually give to the sport before going out an spending a ton of money.

I am set to check out a 2007 Sportsman 800 EFI with approx. 1800 miles on it this week. The seller is the original owner and claims it has been stored indoors and he has kept up with the maintenance nor has he done any mods. A strange claim he made is that he has to change the engine mounts every couple of years as the engine has too much power... This kinda throws a red flag, but I don't understand what would cause them to be changed so often with such little use.

So my question is what should I be looking for on this 4 wheeler? are there any known problem spots or dead give aways something is wrong? I appreciate any advice given.

Thanks!
