Tuner mounting ideas
Since it seems like almost every can am here has a tuner added to it, where did you put it? How did you mount it? Your suggestions are appreciated thanks. Running an 850 outlander xmr for reference.
Problem with high gear?
I’ve been having a problem with High gear on 2013 Polaris Sportsman 500 H.O. In high gear, I get to about 5000 rpms and I’m only going about 30-35 mph where as in recent I’ve been going 50 mph. There is a little play in the inline shifter, my dad had borrowed my quad and snapped the linage between the shifter and the shifter stick. I checked the belt and clutch and they look fine to me. Any ideas?
Issue with Fuel regulator on 570 sportsman
I have a 2016 polaris 570 that I bought to drive when I go to Texas. I ride is some around the house however I dont have the wide open spaces I have in Texas. My issue is that the Fuel Regulator has went out on me TWICE, or both times I took it to Texas. The first time it drove 20 miles before stranding me in the desert alone with someone elses wife. We were making a run to town to get supplies. The next trip to Texas was this month and I was driving carefully after the first experience, I decided to stay within a mile of my Cabin. sure enough in about 1.5 miles of driving it died on me. I had to walk home. Both times I have taken it to Texas it died on me. I have not had the opportunity to really break the thing in because both times I intended to drive the crap out of it, It broke on me. Then when I get home I spend a month taking it to the shop, waiting to get it fixed and then go back again to pick it up. So this thing has 23 hours on it and about 185 miles.
The dealer keeps telling me its all my fault. I really dont understand that logic. I have a $100 generator I bought from a cheap Chinese harbor freight that I have taken to Texas 3 times. it uses the same gas, gets used like 100 hours each trip and it just keeps running. my brand new Polaris takes one look at Texas and pukes and leaves me stranded. I am about at my wits end here. the dealer keeps telling me my fault, i need to drive it more. Yeah, I am going to drive this thing when I dont trust it. Tell me I am nuts to think a Polaris that is only 23 hours used can go through 2 regulators. I dont care how bad the gas is or how often I drive it , thats just not right. obviously my dealer thinks I am supposed to drive 50 miles a week or more. I dont find that reasonable at all and I dont see the logic either.
Can someone here help me out with this issue. The Dealer wants to replace the entire tank each time it breaks and although Polaris picked up the tab both times, i dont look forward to the day they try to charge me $800 for a new tank and fuel system. Apparently the touring model they wont sell you just the fuel regulator, you have to buy the entire gas tank and fuel pump and all for $800. sounds like a crock to me.
Hoping some sharp experienced polaris user can help me.

’05 sportsman 500efi backfire through intake
Ok so wifes grandfather was letting his younger grands ride his sportsman 500. They came riding into the yard, and cut it off. It would never start back up. Just backfire through the carb.
I offered to try my hand at repairing it. I found the timing was way off, and the crank sprocket had been eaten up a bit. So replaced crank sprocket, timing chain, rebuilt the tensioner. Put it in time according to the service manual.
But, it still won't crank and simply backfires out of the intake. I really hope it's not bent valves or a worn cam lobe, but is there anything I could be missing? I never tore it down and pulled the top end, was hoping it wouldn't come to that.

Selling my Outlander. What should I ask for it?
So I've decided to sell my Outlander. I am just not using it enough to justify keeping it.
It's a 2009 500 MAX XT. 4300 miles on it and completely stock. 5 hours on it since I fully serviced it last summer along with putting new tires on it.
I put it on CL for $5500 obo but I am not getting many bites so I am thinking I've priced it too high.
What are your thoughts?
Thanks for the input.

2000 Polaris Trailboss 325
Hello on my atv I'm having trouble every time I go through water holes or big mud holes my trailboss bogs down and tries to cut off. I was told the spark plug was getting wet but, the other day it did this and the plug was completely dry.
Polaris 850XP Throttle Position Sensor 2412634
I am suffering from the dreaded check engine throttle sensor issues. All posts indicate a newer TPS will repair this - but I could not find anyone that could tell me if the newer TPS would fit my older bike. I have a 2010 850XP Sportsman - this TPS doesn't even come close to fitting. I paid $138. It is brand new - never installed nor plugged in - as the 2010 plug and throttle body are completely different shapes. My loss....
Polaris factory TPS part# 2412634 (Apparently for 2012 or newer)
Asking $80 shipped to you.
Pay via paypal or mail. Thanks.
