Deluxe Fairing and Cup Holders

What is the best mug/bottle to use with cup holders on the deluxe fairing? Everything I try won’t stay in holder after a bump or two. I’ve tried a can with neoprene cozy on it and still quite loose. Any recommendations or a way to improve them?

Best Deal on Rear Storage Box?

Looking for the rear Polaris storage box that fits a 2016 for less than $270. The best deal I've found so far is through my dealer and only because of my 10% discount for buying my machine there. $300 for the box and an additional $130 for the backrest is outrageous.

What's the best deal you guys have found for either?

Brand new full exhaust hmf swamp series

For sale is an Hmf Swamp series exhaust. It is brand new in the box. I ordered it for my outlander 1000 short wheelbase and decided I did not want to go that route. My loss is your gain. $400 and ill pay for shipping. If you need pics or want to contact me, you can text me at 318 469 0628. Thanks.

wondering where this connects to?

Hey everybody, new to the polaris world and have a question about my 2012 sportsman 500 ho. after some heavy trail riding last weekend, came home and was cleaning her up and noticed this drip tube attached to some sort of electrical casing and wire.
It runs behind the battery but never noticed it before. anyone know where it connects to. possibly the solenoid? it runs and starts fine just want to put back where it goes. Thanks Bill

2009 Sportsman 800 4×4 doesn’t work in reverse, but works in L and H

Hey All,

I'll start out with I've seen other threads about this issue, but none of them have a solution for my machine. So I'm starting another one in the hopes somebody somewhere has found a solution to this problem.

Some background information as to what I have tested and replaced:

1. I have tested every electrical connection and component associated with this system and all are in good working order. The coil resistance meets spec., the coil magnetizes when 12v are directly applied.
2. The connection from the override button is good, when pressed, 12v is sent to the coil and the speedo shows the wheeler is in 4 wheel drive. Checked with a DVOM.
3. The halleffect sensor on the front hub tested good.
4. The roll cage/sprague carrier was replaced yesterday. So the diff was fully cleaned and fluids are new.
5. Armature plate looked to be in good condition when inspected while the diff was apart.

So after all the electrical testing and replacing the broken Sprague carrier, reassembling the wheeler and testing it. The 4 wheel drive or AWD, whatever you prefer to call it, works fine in High and Low gear, but still does not engage in reverse.

At this point I am stumped, not sure what to test next or what the issue is since it works in High and Low and not in reverse. Any and all suggestions are appreciated. I just want to get the damn thing working again.

Also it stopped working in April while plowing the heavy late snow we had here in Minnesota. Not sure if that's helpful in finding a solution, just putting it our there.

Thanks in advance,
Chris

450 HO vs. 570

My wife and I got new ATVs last year, her the 450HO and me the 570. The 570 has larger tires, more displacement, and more power in seat of the pants dyno test. The 450HO has plenty for what she wants to do with it, just putt around we have a lot of land and tons of private and public trails out our back door.

Anyways, I never got any specifics about the 450HO motor. We have 2017 model years. I read somewhere a while ago, forget where, that earlier 450s were actually 570s de-tuned and that you could put a 570 CDI on the 450HO and get more HP, but not for 2017?? I was somewhat under the impression that 570 had DOHC while 450 had Single OverHead Cam. I haven't ripped into the motors to check! I also thought that the 450HO has a displacement of 500cc (I think that's what she registered it as).

If it's been hashed out before somewhere, could someone send me a link to read about these things? The specifics of the differences in the two motors, and even how they evolved to this point if that info is out there. Thanx in advance.
