Im Jay from Raleigh NC, and im new to the ATV scene. After 15 years of streetbikes, 6 different liter bikes and 1 hayabusa...i needed a new rush. Picked up a 18 Renegade XMR 1000 and fell in love after my first outing! :yahoo:

Im looking forward to learning as much as i can about this beast of a machine. Im definitely looking into mods, new trails/mud holes, and mudding gear. Anyone (especially riders from the area) feel free to send me a shout.

1992 trail boss 250

Hi, I'm Matt and I'm new here. I bought a 1992 trail boss 250 that has been sitting a couple of years. I have cleaned the fuel/oil tanks, put in a new spark plug and put on a new rebuilt carb. It actslime it wants to start but just will not quite go. It keeps flooding, so I remove the crankcase plug and then try again. Any and all help would be appreciated.

? On 2017 polaris outlaw 50

Does anyone have any exsperiance with the 50? I got my son one and it has been nothing but a problem hes rode it maybe 10 times now all of a sudden when he rides it seems to just die out if u can grab the break lever quick enough it will fire back up any idea what i can do to fix? I really dont want to pay shop fees seeing as polaris wont covwr anyrhing they told me well thanks for any help

priming oil pump

This topic probably has been beaten to death but I couldn't find the answer to my issue with the priming process. I've drained the oil tank, changed the oil filter and also checked the screen behind the oil tank. My understanding is that once this fitting with the screen has been removed then the system needs to be primed. Also I realize that one step I haven't done is drain the crank case. I tried removing the bolt but the previous owner has it on so tight that I cannot remove it, so I'm going to run it for an hour mix the old oil with the new then empty the oil tank again. So back to the priming issue...I've pinched the top air tub about 2 inches from the tank just before the slit in the hose, started the atv, let it run for about 20 seconds, turned it off and released the hose and I didn't hear the hiss of air so I tried it 4 more times with the same results!! What Am I doing wrong?

Commander wheels on G2 Outlander

Will the 14”wheels off of a 2012-2014 commander xm fit a 2016 outlander xt? Seen conflicting reports on if there’s enough clearance between the tie rod and wheel. Thanks

Reverse takes off / throttles up?

I've got a 1996 425 Magnum. It runs great, starts easy and doesnt smoke. I just bought it from the original owner and its a well cared for bike. He put a new carburetor on the quad and wanted to sell it after his tank petcock was leaking. I fixed the tank and installed a new petcock. It fired up and runs / drives no problem.


2 things I've noticed and need help with please and thanks to you all!

The quad idles like its got a cam in it out of a dragster. However when I bump the throttle ever so slightly it purrs really smooth and drives awesome. Choppy idle like it has a cam is no good; any fix? I checked the Electronic throttle position sensor and it seems accurate. However I did notice the quad looks like the throttle cable is new so I wonder if this is some of the problem?

The main problem I'm having is when I use reverse; yes switching the gear shift into reverse the quad idles up and wants to take off backwards without my ever touching the throttle. I litereally have to hang onto the brake to keep from crashing into anything behind me. I also have played with the Reverse Override and while depressing this in neutral, forward or reverse it will cause the same revving up on the throttle by hitting the yellow over ride button? What the heck...?

I've seen atleast 2-3 of these same issues listed but no responses on how to fix it that I could find? Can anyone help save me an expensive trip to the dealer? Thanks again everyone, Shane in Oklahoma!

Polaris Ball Mount

Whats the best ball mount for the Polaris 1 1/4 receiver? What brand did you purchase? How's it working? Also if you have changed to a 2 in receiver what did you purchase, I would like it to be a little higher and sturdier. Thanks

New to 4x4 Quads with Auto Trans and all of the extra parts that makes these things such a beast.

I purchased a 2001 Polaris Explorer 250 2 stroke for my wife and I would llike to change ALL of the fluids in it. Can anyone help me out here with what fluids it uses and where?
