2008 ecm rebuild

Hey guys working on an 2008 and it smoked the cdi, I have it running and it’s now overcharging. I took about the superpower module and it looks like the 3 phase regulator is cooked. An oem replacement is crazy money for this model does anyone rebuild them?

2002 ranger 500

So I have read a lot of posts from people regarding spark issues with the polaris sportsman 500. I have a 2002 ranger 500 with no spark. I realize polaris does all their tests with ohms readings. I have replaced the stator cdi ignition coil and plug cap and wire. Still no spark. I am not getting any voltage out of the trigger coil. This unit has had 3 stators put in with no success. Has anyone else seen a crank out of phase causing the trigger gap to be excessive and not produce voltage. The trigger ohm reading is 97 ohms. All new ignition components. I am a technician by trade but this one has me slightly stumped. I do know the crank is out of phase just curious if any one else has seen this cause no spark???

Complete overhead audio system

I have the front liner installed already. It was required for my roof rack and lights. I keep staring at the indentations for the stereo and speakers. Wondering how the stereo and 4 Jensen speakers sound in there. Absolutely no YouTube videos at all. Anybody have it installed or hear it?? Wondering how it sounds.

1987 Polaris cyclone carb issues

Hey everyone I've got a 1987 Polaris cyclone 250x 2x4 the guy I got it from put in a carb from a trail boss same year but I'm told the jets and everything are different on top of that it's missing the nylon washer underneath so I've got all the parts but that so my carb leaks when it's not running and if I put the air box on it backfires like crazy it seems ok if i run it with the choke on is there a way I can adjust it so I don't have to choke it or do I need to wait

What size ITP mega mayhems will for stock outlander max xt 850 2016?

Buying a used 2016, and it's got the stock carlisles.

I want to keep the OEM 12'' wheels to save costs and trouble figuring out size and fit, but would like to get mega mayhems.

Should I get the 27 or 28 inches? I want something that doesn't rub, I'm not going into lifts and spacers.

Anyone using the 27s on stock 12'' wheels with success?

2” Lift Kit Suggestions for HD10 Max?

Hi All,

I’m looking into options to put a 2” lift on my Defender. Narrowed it down to 2 options(I think): the Highlifter(front coil spacers;rear lower brackets) or the Rage Fab(front upper brackets;rear upper brackets).

I like the idea of the Rage Fab lift, but it relocated the front upper shock mount so that the front shock is basically vertical. How will this affect handling an ride? Has anyone tried either of these kits?

I am only looking for 2” of lift. No more, no less. On a side note, seems like I read where you can get heavy duty front and rear spring that might provide extra lift. Is there a combo that provides 2 inches? I guess that would be a 3rd option. Thanks in advance for your help, this is my first ATV/UTV in 25 years so I’m behind on the subject.

Kind Regards,
Cody

Replacing CV shaft boot CLAMPS

just the clamps so I can ensure they are packed with grease.
Do i need to remove the shaft or can the clamps (or really only the outer clamp) be removed, pack grease and then install new clamp?

1st ATV 2008 Outlander 650 XT, What now?

Hi guys. I've needed an ATV forever, just never had the funds for a new one, and couldn't find a used one that I was comfortable with.

Finally stumbled across a gentleman who had purchased his 650 XT new and spent two summers riding trails during the summers in AZ. It looks absolutely perfect on the outside and he said it's never given him any problems. It's been sitting for a while (dead battery) and he said I should get it serviced soon. It has just over 2k miles on it.

Everything is stock and like I said, older gentlemen used it for Arizona trail use only during 2 summers.

It seems a lot of you guys mod yours for mud use, but I will just be using mine on trails / hunting in Idaho. I'd like to know if there are any bugs the 08s are known for that I should fix, and maybe where to start with service?

I'm not a mechanic by any means, but should be able to handle simple tasks with basic instructions. If it would be better to take it to a dealership, I could do that too, but I suppose there are good/bad mechanics at those places too.

I guess 1st I need a battery. Looks like Odyssey is the way to go. Any advice above and beyond that would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
