(& sportsman 500 oil seal removal

I have a 97 sportsman 500 since it was new. I have an oil seal leaking behind the water pump(dripping out the weep hole). Can this seal be removed and installed without splitting the case? Clymer manual says the case has to be split. Also the tool to reinstall the mechanical seal for the water pump is discontinued. My local dealer says they do not work on older Polaris anymore. Guess they want you to buy a new one. My machine runs perfect and has alway been properly maintained. I have never had to ad oil between oil changes. It has never left me stranded. Its been all over the mountains of Colorado elk hunting and hauled countless number of whitetails out of the field of Texas, Illinois,Kansas. I brought my 2 boys up riding on it. I have a strong attachment to this machine.

front struts

I have a front strut that is leaking. Should I replace it with a Polaris brand OEM strut or replace both front struts with the less expensive aftermarket struts while I'm doing it?

Commander 1000 axle boots ripping

2014 commander with 6 in lift 31 in tires elka suspension rhino axles
Just purchased this unit had 39 hrs and as clean as the day it left the show room floor I sure thought I was getting a steal.... turns out within the first 1hr of riding I ripped both rear inner axle boots decided to replace boots with fast boots thinking the boot was smaller and clearance would be better but after flat riding within 7 miles both boots were ripped again I believe there is to much lift and when suspension extends is when these boots rip anyone else with the same issue I'm looking for pointers

Winch

Has anyone else had the Warn Vantage 3000 winch go out on their machine?

I was pulling on a fella that was good and stuck and my winch stopped working.

Ending up taking two of us 1k renegades to get him out, but now my winch wont work.

I put the winch motor posts direct to a battery and it wont move or make a sound. I have contacted warn and they are sending a new motor.

EPS Noise

2012
850 Sportsman with EPS
2600 kms on Odometer
OEM Tires (original tires that came on machine)

issue:
When the machine is started and at Idle, there is a noise coming from the EPS Unit. If I pull on the handle bars or if I tug/push on the front wheel(s) the noise either goes away or the intensity of the noise changes. I can’t imagine this noise would be considered a normal operating condition of this unit. Under driving conditions the EPS appears to function properly and there is no indicator light indicating the unit is malfunctioning.

I came across other older discussion with someone having the same issue but did not see any replies identifying the specific remedy or a solution.

Anyone out there having experienced the same issue and having found a solution?
