Hello, my name is Matt and I an a new member. In 2017 I purchased a 2017 Can Am Outlander MAX 850 XT-P and love it! I mainly trail ride on the Tug Hill area of New York State. I really look forward to gaining knowledge of my Can Am through this forum and giving back what I may have learned.
Replacing bearings and seals on rear torsion arm
I will be replacing the REAR BEARINGS AND SEALS for the third time in 2000 miles. The year of ATV is 2014 1000 Outlander XT. I'm pretty anal how I keep my ATV clean and in good condition. First set wore out at about 900 miles, had the my DEALER do the job. $277.00. Was told at that time there was lots of water contamination inside Torsion arms was thought to be the reason for Bearings failing. So when I cleaned my ATV this time I took precaution not to spray that area when cleaning. Was told here on some did not like BRP bearings so I tried out All Balls. The Dealer had no problem with my request. No difference with All BALLS, 2000 miles and the new set going back into ATV will be BRP. I sent a E-Mail off to BRP with my concerns that these bearings in my opinion are failing too soon. They in returned sent a E-Mail back stating that they appreciate all feed back they get and because the ATV is out of warranty at this point there is nothing they can do. Well I returned an E-Mail stating DAH! NO KIDDING WARRANTY IS OUT. They sent me an on line survey to grade them on how I like their Customer Service. I guess they were interested because this Monday morning I received a phone call from BRP Customer Service. They wanted me to understand they could not help me because there was no warranty, still on this crap ideal thinking. I told BRP I'm not worried about the dam warranty, but the fact you need to get some better quality Bearings and Seals for the Rear Torsion Arm. I told BRP I was not the only one with this problem. All they wanted to talk about was the fact that there was no warranty. I held my cool and told BRP, stop talking about the stupid warranty, I want you to back to who ever and find a better solution to why these bearings fail. I personally would like some how to get some grease into them. As of now I'm not impress with BRP and their ATV. The Dealer I use I have no problems with and I know the Mechanic.

Hawkeye sportsman 300 4×4
Im Looking for used atv for my daughter to ride next year. I heard its not a polaris engine.. is that true?
1.How is the reliablity of the 300 engines? how many hours/miles is it capable of ? (I would prefer a 400 but they are harder to find. )
2. power wise how are they?how would it compare to a trail boss 330?
3. anything else I should be aware of with these?
thanks

Wheel Hubs are stuck together on bearing – How do I get them apart?
Any thoughts on how to get wheel hubs apart? the inner and outer hub is stuck on the wheel bearing, I have trade hammering, heating soaking in pb blaster, any more tips or tricks? I have seen them in pieces and am trying to just replace a bunch of parts before possibly selling the machine, so I do not want to break the hubs.....
Also having an issue getting the screws off the pinion cover as they take a tiny little 4mm allen head that I have already broken one off, Going to try heat next to break the locktite...

850 rough idle
2013 850 idles high at start up usually up to 1850 -1900 . Takes along time for atv to idle down . Some times I need to start and shut off atv a few times . Other times it will idle back to normal if you play with the throttle. When riding and you come to a stop it takes a while for atv to come down off idle and stays moving forward until it does . I’m thinking it could be the tps sensor . How do I fix / adjust/ clean this sensor . Any tips . Thanks in advance .
Need dimensions of front brake rotor Polaris Predator 500
Hi, Anyone know the front brake disc dimensions (especially the thickness) on a 2003 polaris predator 500? I want to convert the brake system on a very old JD AMT 600 from cable pull to hydraulic and can get the complete system from a wrecked predator so am trying to verify the replacement caliper will fit over the JD rotors and be large enough. Thanks for any help.
2018 Polaris Sportsman 570 Utility Edition
Hello all, I purchased a 2018 570 Sportsman Utility Edition in Ghost Gray in March. It runs great and I love riding it. The idle cadence bounces around/sounds rough. It doesn’t die. My folks have a RZR 570 that is a few years old. Theirs does not idle like mine does, although the idle rpms are the same. Any ideas on what might be the cause? We are about 90 minutes from the nearest dealer/service. Thanks for the help! I’m a newbie! 😊
