Hi, new here im having an issue with finding a voltage regulator for my bike. Recently bought 2 regulators off amazon and ended up smoking both with in 5 mins of trying them. Now questions is can I use the same voltage regulator from an 03 sportsman or will I smoke that one two. Been trying to figure it out for about 3 weeks now and no clue what's goin on with this thing.

Hi I’m new to the forum been searching with no luck. I bought this quad a couple a days ago and have been troubleshooting it. Found I had no spark. When I bought the quad it came without the ignition switch. It only has a red and black wire the you tie together to turn over the engine.
I was trying to purchase the ignition switch and saw that it has 4 wires in it it’s missing the green ground and the ignition white with black. I bought the bike with a title so I know it’s not stolen. The guy just lost the key and cut the wires.

New Member Introduction
Hello,
I want to introduce myself to the forum. My name is Blaine, I live in North Dakota, and I have two Can-Am Traxters. My wife and I are retired, and live on a 40-acre hobby farm, and use the Traxters for chores, fixing fences, pushing snow, etc.
I bought the 2000 500 model about 4 years ago, because my wife liked the step-through design. It has been generally trouble free, except for being extremely hard to start in the winter. Also, I am currently having fits with ongoing issues after replacing the sprag clutch. That's a story for a whole 'nother post, which I will write once the problem is resolved.
The 2004 500XL was bought last year, to replace an old '97 Kawasaki Prairie 400 that was having problems. I liked the step-through design of my 2000 model, and the cargo dump bed is a definite plus. The engine is a little tired, though, but I got it for a good price. Like the 2000, it is extremely hard to start in the winter.
I'll be posting more about my experiences and questions.

2008 trailboss fan stays running
Went to start my 2008 trail boss 330 after the winter. I had to jump it and it started then the over heating light came on. So I went to charge the battery and the fan stayed on even without the key in the atv any suggestions

19 Sportsman 570- Found missing screw?
Hello all,
I recent purchased a new Sportsman 570 EPS and found a screw in my truck bed after unloading. I believe it is Polaris part number 7512084. I did some research and ruled out it coming from the a-arm/strut protector, cooling system, front brake line mount, rear shield mounts, and I believe the main gear case mounting.
Any ideas where it could have come from? May end up taking it back to dealer to locate but would rather not.
Thanks,
pat

2016 Sportsman 450 won’t start
Have a good battery and starter. Everything works fine on dash. Wires look good, doesn’t look like anything has eaten them. Replaced relay and still nothing. Will crank when I jump the two terminals at relay. Any suggestions?
