Hey all, I have a 2003 700, has a few issues at the moment, first one is I let it sit in a shed all winter and started it a few times, but this spring when i changed oil it had moisture in the oil? why? i did change out the water pump seals and such last year and put a few hundred miles on it after. did change the oil after I changed the seals to. second problem is with the front diff, almost like it is stuck in 4x4 when im going slow but as soon as i crack the throttle it comes out of 4x4, mind you the switch on the handle bar is shut off...third and final prob is when going down the road its like the trans is trying to shift. not sure how to word it, but you can hear a rpm difference from around 35 mph, just wondering if this is normal? i did change the one clutch (the one you dont need a puller for), also on the front diff i have changed the fluid on it every year with the pure polaris oil it reccomends. Thanks for any and all help on this beast! Robert
New Mav Trail HELP
Hey all,
I have been a Skidoo guy forever and just this weekend got my first side by side. Maverick Trail 1000 dps. I opted not to spend the $800 for the factory sound system even though it seemed to be a way better option and have better placement than the soundbar...I just couldn't bring myself to drop $800 on it. What are some good setups people are running for sound in the Mav trail? Also, if you have any other tips about anything let me know.
Thanks.

Heat Issue?
I've been reading a lot about these rotax engines making excessive heat. I just bought a 2018 outty 850XT and I'm wondering if I should be worried about this heat issue? Anything I should be doing as a precautionary measure to eliminate the issue?

I have a 2005 400 sportsman and i'm trying to find hand guards with mounting hardware but not having any luck . did Polaris make such a thing for the 05 sportsman 400 ? I've seen some aftermarket ones but don't really like the look of the universal fit. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

2016 New Leftover 850 DPS
Looking to buy my first Can Am. Went to a local dealer to check out the 2018 Outlander 1000cc models but he has a brand new, never started 2016 850 DPS unit. He'll take $8,400 for it. After I left I came up with a bunch of questions, but he won't be open until Tuesday.
1. Do the 16's have engine braking, can't find it online?
2. Besides the move to 14" wheels and better tires, any other major improvements to 18?
3. What type of issues should I be looking for on the 16?
4. Thoughts on issues associated with sitting so long (Seals, etc)? Thinking of asking him to swap battery, oil, and antifreeze before I take it. Hoping there is no fuel in it since it wasn't started. Is the factory oil a break-in oil?
Thanks

Weird sound?
Hi all.. im new here, im really looking for some help.
I have a Polaris Sportsman 800 EFI 2006. When i bought it, i tested it really quick, got it home and now have done a big service. Started it, and i think its sounds weird, Klicking sound from the Engine. Oil level is good and it works fine. Maybe maybe it should sound this way? Never owned a atv so i cant tell. 2003 sportsman 500 primary clutch
Working on my 2003 sportsman 500ho that I picked up a few weeks ago.
I wanted to check the condition of the belt and inspect the primary clutch for overall condition.
The primary clutch (with EBS) has seen better days and has hairline cracks running up the sheave. I'll need to replace it. It seems like every EBS clutch I've seen has these cracks in them. Is it a design flaw, poor maintenance or maybe both?
Has anyone else run a non EBS clutch on their sportsman 500? If so, did you have to make any other changes like belt or secondary?
I did this on my previous atv (2000 magnum 500) and ran the same belt and secondary without any problems. It actually ran better without the EBS on it.
