Sinister Scrambler: Modded Mondays

It's not too pretty to get dirty

There’s no doubt about it, this is one wicked Polaris Scrambler XP 1000. It’s not at all uncommon to find folks who spend a ton of time and money outfitting a great looking mud ATV, only to keep it out of the mud. That’s definitely not the case with the Sinister Scrambler as it’s owner is not shy about getting it dirty.

ATV.com recommends that ATV riders always wear a helmet when behind the bars.

New Outtie 1000 possible issues

I picked up an '18 Outtie Max XTP 1000 last week. I have a few potential issues that I was hoping to get some feedback on:

Condensation in gauge - Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to prevent it? I can get it replaced under warranty but that is not much help if it will just happen again.

Backfiring - The bike seems to backfire once in a while slowing down (engine braking). Is this normal? My 800 never seemed to do that.

Bike seems like a huge improvement over my '09 shortie. The shocks are night and day better and I really like the max. The power steering is a great addition as well. I snorkeled the bike with the brp kit (looooong install) and added a bunch of dei cool tape and some floor and tunnel shield to various spots to help keep things cool. Looking forward to many enjoyable miles on this one.

Thanks

2008 Polaris Sportsman 300 Bogging Down

I just replaced the carburetor and the atv starts and idles fine, but once you push the gas it bogs and stalls. If I open the choke about 1/4 it will run and drive fine. It's got fresh lines, filters and gas. What could be the issue....I know the gas gauge parts broke and fell inside the tank but that shouldn't matter should it? Any suggestions what to do next I was going to pull the tank, dump and clean it out as my next resort????

Rear Diff/ Trans Oil

Just purchased an 18 base 570 and would like to change all the fluids. Is the Trans fluid separate from the Rear diff. fluid? Apologies if this is probably a silly question but I am new to this. Thanks

stripped splines on front differential

hi, I just bought a 2012 sportsman 550 XP EPS. Noticed the front wheels wouldn't engage and found the axles very loose and I could almost pull them out of the differential. Took it apart and found that the axle splines look in good shape but the splines in the front differential are almost smooth. Anybody know if this is repairable, are just the outer spline housings available or does it have to be the whole hub rebuild kit they sell for the front diff?

Does the differential have to come out to do it, or on the side with all the bolts, do all the parts slide out of the differential? Mine has EPS so it looks like a major pain to take it out of the quad.

Atv storage cover

Looking for a cover for my 2017 outlander 650 XT as it will be stored outside all summer. I have a rear box/seat on the rear rack as well.

Any suggestions

Loctitie Brake Calipers?

Noticed after a partial ride Saturday, that either I forgot to put a rear brake caliper bolt back in after changing the brake pads or it fell out. My question is: do you use loctite on the brake caliper bolts?

g2l push pin size

Hi all bought new 2018 570 and curious if push pins are still 15X20X8mm --

Thanks in advance for any feedback

Need help identifying an issue on gen 1 outlander 800

2007 Gen 1 outlander 800

I recently fell off in some water and tipped her over and drowned her out. Got the motor flushed out and motor seems okay. Not smoking. My issue is the bike seems to have no power. Takes half throttle just to move and it barely moves at all. I drained belt box and also tried disconnecting the battery to reset the computer like you can do on a brute. Still acting up. What am I missing? Need some help identifying the problem and solution so i can get the bike back out there. I'm new to can ams so I'd appreciate any help i can get. Thanks.
