Cargo rack for hitch weight considerations
Just bought my first Can Am! 2018 Outlander 850XT Max. I'm planning close to a 300 mile run trip this summer over the MacGruder Corridor and back. I have a cargo rack that slides into a 2" receiver hitch. If I strap it to the rest grab bar, how much can it hold? I'd like to carry 10 gallons of gas. I saw a video that said 100 lbs. on a truck or 50 lbs on an atv. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Secondary Clutch Spinning
2004 Ranger 500, should secondary clutch spin in neutral? Mine does, i've read mixed opinions on this. Idle is turned all the way down. I've been getting some intermittent grinding shifting into High gear that led me to pull clutch cover and observe this. I can actually stop secondary clutch spin by hand.
2018 Renegade 1000 10hr Break In Service
Who has done their first 10hr break in service on their Renegade? I called the dealer today and they wanted $350.00. I know that's stupid expensive. They will change oil, filter, front and rear diff fluids and gearbox fluid. Not sure what else. I figured I could do all that and use Amsoil fluid instead since their fluids are typically better than OEM fluid and most other synthetics. Anyhow what were you quoted and what did the dealer do aside from change fluids? I asked if they reflashed the ECU and they said no.
Also rode with a buddy this weekend that has a 2016 1000 XXC and he said his bike woke up after 10hours all of sudden. Mine has 5.5hrs right now. It's got plenty of power, but right now doesn't feel 27hp more powerful than my 08 Renegade 800 which was 62hp stock. He said he felt the same way until he passed 10hrs and it was like riding a different machine.

I have a 2014 sportsman 570 efi. I want to buy these aftermarket a arms and a 2 inch lift. Good idea or not?

gas tank size 2018
I just got a blue 2018 touring 570 eps the gas tank size in the owners manual shows 4.5 gal. for all 570s inc. touring. but on line it shows on line at Polaris.com it shows new for 2018 6.7 gal. and the 2018 brochure also shows 6.7 gal. only on the 570 touring . what size does it have. that's one of the reasons I got the touring . also who makes a rear pack for the touring .
Tether switch help needed
I’m racing my 2016 Sportsman XP1000 this season and need help with the tether. Please don’t post a link to all the other threads as I have read them all and haven’t found the answer!!
I’ve tried an open circuit switch in line on the red/black wire coming off the ignition. When the tether is pulled, it blows the fuse.
I also have closed circuit switches that we’ve tried with the coil, but blew fuses. I’m not confident that we had that switch hooked up correctly though.
The sportsman and scrambler should be the same harness, so any advice is appreciated!

tachometer doing weird things
Hi I have an 07 sportsman 500 efi and I noticed this weekend that sometimes when I'm giving it full throttle the tach will suddenly start fluctuating alot and then drop down to zero rpms and then the battery light will come on. If I let off the throttle it will go back to the correct rpm(I assume) and battery light turns off. Doesn't seem to have any issues with performance or anything and the battery has never died on me it always starts. But then again I just bought it this year and only have about 5-6 hours of plowing and maybe 20 miles of riding on it so far.
Any ideas what this could be?

2018 XP1000 with STI HD9 Beadlock wheels, Maxxis Bighorns, ATV Guru front bumper, hand guards and Polaris winch. Only 50 miles on it so far but headed to Hatfield-McCoy next week for the shake-down run.
