I have a 2017 Polaris Sportsman 570, the small rear storage compartment does not have a lock only a latch, I would like to be able to lock this compartment, has anyone put a lock on this compartment? Thanks new member Dan.

90cc scrambler carb

On the scrambler I picked up, the carb is over flowing. Took carb off and disassembled. Filthy inside so float was stuck I suppose. I noticed that the starter plunger has a wire pulled loose also. Is this part available or do I have to order a whole new carb? Source?

Maverick X3 Cooler Review

I apologize if this topic has been discussed. I'm getting back into off-roading (and the forum) and I'm struggling how to search this topic in the forum. I bought a 2018 Maverick X3 900 HO. I'm debating on buying the OEM LinQ 8 gallon cooler and wondering how it performs. Dealer said the box is "no Yeti but it holds ice for as long as you're out on the trail." Worst case scenario, our trail rides will run upward of 12 hours with temps peaking near 100*F. I can only imagine how hot the temps get on that rear storage shelf. Will it keep ice or do I sacrifice my rear view for a Yeti Tundra?

dead battery

I have a 2011 Sportsman 850 XP. Last fall the battery was going dead. Noticed battery cables were only "finger" tight. Took battery (original I believe) to dealer for testing, said it was ok. Reinstalled battery and made sure battery cables remained tight by using loctite. Battery went dead again, recharged it and all is well, for a while. Went dead yet again. Replaced battery last fall (2017). No more problems last fall and off and on over the winter. Just last week, battery went dead again after using machine over a weekend. Jump-started it. By running it, battery recharged. Has been sitting about a week now and have been able to start it...so far. New battery is about 6 months old, it is being charged when running, cables are tight. Any thoughts as to what's happening here would be appreciated. Thanks

Loose plug / wire

I have a 2013 renegade 1000 that is consistently giving a communication error on the dash. I’ve check the battery terminals and cleaned them. Battery starts well. Anybody know proper voltage? I bought this used and it seems the previous owner liked to swamp it and not maintain it. I also checked for water in connectors in wiring harness. Seems like all are dry and clean. There are 2 plugs up front not connected to anything. Can anybody help identify this plug? Is it supposed to be exposed? Could this cause the comma error?

2011 850 Touring Belt Engagement

I have a 2011 850 touring that has a little over 3,500 miles on it and has been relatively trouble free. I've noticed recently that whenever I go to take off, I have to throttle up pretty good before the belt engages. As time has went on, it gets tougher and more frustrating to ease into throttle and get a response. Could this be a symptom of a wearing belt or clutches that need to be cleaned?
