20” Light Bar Mounting Option on G2

Just thought I’d share how I mounted a 20” Rigid light bar to my XMR. Should work the same on any G2.

I used the Rough Country universal 1.65-2” tube clamps, removed the brackets that came with them and mounted the light bar cradle directly to them. It’s rock solid and I didn’t have to drill or modify anything.

Why did you buy a 1000s insted of a 570

The biggest reason I like the thousand is the smoothness of the twine and the narrow center so you can stand up easier . They are a lot better ATV overall the front end is a double wishbone front end not a strut like Pinto's had years ago. Also the newest one has a throttle that has three settings and then their is the power and with the power comes better brakes:big-grin

WTB: Sportsman front storage box lid

Thought I would be smart and load my 500 in the truck backwards to keep the winch from going thru my back window if I had to hit the brakes hard. Well I forgot to latch my front box lid and the wind caught it and ripped it off at the hinges. Looking for a used one before I order a new one and all of the hardware that goes with it. Its a 2008. I think any Sportsman 05-09 will fit.

Changed my pads

Think they were due. Less than 400 miles on these.

My (single) rear caliper was worst. Nearly down to metal.

Gone with Race Driven. Ordered on Friday. Arrived Monday. Even to the UK!

Help with basemodel 570 purchase!!!

Hey guys I'm new to atv's. I've been riding them and motocross basically my whole life! I'm looking to buy my first tomorrow! I'm interested in the sportsman 570 base model but my concern is the machine weighing 700lbs and not having esp. should I be worried? My main purpose for it is riding around my camp and some occasional trail/dirt road riding. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I'm only interested in the base model because I feel like the dealership is giving me a good otd price on a 2018 ($5480). Also would I be able to plow snow with it?

Differential seals

After my last ride i knoticed my 2015 outlander 800 xmr developed oil leaks where the cv axle goes into the diffs on both left and right sides both front and rear diffs. Not sure how it goes from no leaks to leaking at all 4 points after a ride but okay. My question is which way do the seals go? Do i have to split the diffs open or can i pull the axles and change the seals with the diffs still in the frame
