Rim size questions

Accidentally posted this in the general forum first.

I am about to pull the trigger on some better shoes for my 17 sportsman 570. The stock tires are not cutting it in this PA terrain. I am going with bearclaw htrs. I wanted to go up a size to 26” from the stock 25”. After reading, I would either need spacers or a different offset wheel. So I was planing on grabbing some itp delta steelies with the proper offset. I just noticed that most wheels are only offered in 12x7. That’s cool for the front (stock is 12x6) but what about the rear? Stock size is 12x8 with a 10 inch wide tire... isn’t it going to baloon the tire going an inch narrower on the rim and an inch wider on tires? Not a fan of the baloon look, I like that squared off look... someone correct me if I’m wrong or maybe post some pics of this set up

4WD Indicator

Picked up a 2018 850 XTP Max last Saturday. Unfortunately I did not test drive it around the lot to check everything out before I loaded it up. A couple of days ago I got it out and rode around the neighborhood for a couple of minutes. Flipped the switch over to 4WD to make sure everything was good and found the indicator symbol on the dash is not coming on. I didn't stab it to see if the front wheel(s) would spin and see if it was just the indicator not coming on.

Pulled the gauge cover to get to the fuse box and I did see a fuse labeled winch/2wd/4wd. Didn't look blown but I replaced it anyways jus to check. Still a no-go. Winch works though.

Any thoughts on what I could check before I haul it back to the dealer?

Polars outlaw 90 clutch cover noise

I have been surfing this site for years but usually just reading. I have a problem on my kids 2 stroke 90 I can't figure out. I took the clutches out to check the rollers for the CVT and make sure everything was good. Now that I have it all back together it doesn't seem like the primary clutch goes all the way on the shaft like it did previously. I 've checked 100 times and everything is tight. When I put the clutch cover on the kickstart hits just barely. But enough to make a lot of noise. I've read the cover can warp but it was fine when I pulled it off. Any ideas on whats going on? When the nut is on the primary clutch it doesn't seem to be as far on as it was when I pulled it out but theres nothing else I can find holding it up.

Xtp snorkel help

Rode in the deep water and mud for years with the grizzlies but with the new can am I’d like to get some extra insurance. So time to step into the world of snorkels. What kits can I get to work on a 2017 outlander xtp 1000? I know a lot of companies kits don’t work with the xtp gauges. I’m looking for something not too high that looks good and isn’t very noticeable (stealthy). Also to be able to go in deep water up to the snorkels is there anything else you have to do that’s not included in the kits? For example and vents or vent lines? And is there any mods you have to do to the exhaust is is the stock system fine running under water?

Thanks for your help guys

Trailboss VIN (HELP)

Hello! First Post here from Australia!

Just bought my very first Polaris Trailboss 250, the owner I bought from didn't know the year and I've been trying to make heads and tails with the VIN to make sure I get correct spare parts :)
Are there any gurus around here that could help me out with this one!

I found this PDF and was following the information on their, and if i am making out the VIN numbers correctly, the 10th digit is a W, which means its 1998?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

rear wheel offset soooooo confused

hello

so my rear rims are 10" and any times im looking at are 12" so i i plan on getting new rims for the rear which have an offset of 2+5

from what i read online my stock rear rims are 4+3.. but when i look at them they dont seem to match up from what i have read online..

from my understanding the first number is the space from where the hub bolts to the rim to the outer edge of the rim facing inward to the axel/diff and the second number is from hub bolt area to the outward edge facing away from the machine ? sorry if this is something really simple im just confused with what the internet sees and with what im seeing on my machine so its has my mind all confused LOL

thank you
