Hello All,
My Traxter was losing power while plowing snow and then stopped running and will not restart. Plugs are newer and have good spark. Seemed like it could be running out of fuel. Tank had plenty and fuel pump appears to be working fine when I pulled the supply line off the carb and cranked it. Pulled the carb, looked good, but took it apart and made sure it was as clean as it looked. Pulled valve cover and rockers seem to be working correctly. Finally got a compression gauge adapter for the small plugs and it reads no compression with throttle open, 30 psi with throttle closed??? Pulled the head and everything looks good. Inverted the head and filled the combustion chamber with alcohol, no valve leakage. Cylinder and head gasket looks excellent.
I have owned this since new and am really puzzled how it can look mechanically excellent and generate no compression???:th_smiliepullhair:
