A few questions.
#1.In the diagnostic mode I have codes 3=clutch modulator valve ,7=Headlight Supply ,8=Accessory Supply and 9=Reference supply output. Is anyone able to tell me the possible causes and solutions?
Another observation is that someone for some reason has connected the headlights to a toggle switch instead of the key switch. And that the wire at one of the headlights is all taped up. Are the headlights normally contolled by the mpem? I am thinking that they were shorted out at some point and may have damaged the Mpem?
#2.In normal mode all the shift lights (2-5) are flashing. 1 is not because it is burnt as it does not light during the 1st diagnostic step. Would they be flashing because the 1 is burnt? Or would it be a fault with the position sensor?

Another can am rider in texas
Picked up my '17 outlander 1000 over Christmas break but finally got some decent riding in these last couple weeks and I looove it I've wanted a quad for years but no places to ride in my old place in South Florida. I recently moved to Texas and got one so I can ride with my sister and her husband. We have had a blast.
Now that I've got some hours on the machine ive decided to mod it a bit by installing a winch and skid plates. After that is exhaust and hopefully have the stock tires worn down so I can put some better mud ones on.
All in all loving the machine and love getting it dirty!

2017 Maverick 1000 xc
Looking into getting the 1000 xc. Does this one have any kind of power steering or will I have to buy a aftermarket to put on there. The aftermarket power steering units I looked at showed to only go up to 2015 models, so that's what got me confused to If the 2016+ xc's had any kind of power steering.
Anyways, Thank you much!
Anyone with a basic xc got any reviews and what they like and don't like?

Oil question
So doing my first oil change on my 2015 sportsman 1000. I usually run amsoil 0w-40 in everything I have. From sled to pit bike. I see polaris wants you to use a 5w-50. Has anyone ever used a 0w-40? Should I drain back out and replace it with the heavier? Thanks for the help.
02 xplorer 250 shock upgrade?
Can anyone tell me what heavier shocks interchange with the xplorer 4x4 250? I use this quad to pull and haul around the farm and oem 250 shocks don't seem heavy enough.
