New 1K wheels and tires?

LOL...I said no more questions but I've got a new toy on the way. Got to start thinking about mods! :grin
I'm considering just going ahead with either 26.5 uber Growlers or 27 BG 2.5 Growlers on this new machine right off the bat. Then just sell the new OEM takeoffs to offset some of the cost.
Question is, do I want a little more offset wheels while I'm at it for a wider/more stable stance? Anybody running more offset rims on the new 1K's? If so, what are they? I doubt there's any oversized fender flares out yet so that could be an issue.
Vision Crushers with an inch more offset than stock wrapped with 26.5 Growlers and Maier flares have been a very good setup on the old 800. I like to stay with what I KNOW works.

Highlighter Outlaws

Anybody have these tires? I really don’t like the yellow and red outlaw label on the side. Anyone black that out? If so how?

what's the opinion on the best tires for off road that can still be driven on a paved road for a 2009 ranger rzr

Winching help

I’m want to move a shed with my outlander warn winch. The shed I am pulling is way below the rated capacity of the winch but is heavier than the outlander. So obviously the lighter object will move towards the heavier. Shed doesn’t budge at all
How can I pull items toward me that are heavier than I am? Do I need to anchor the outlander to something? If so how?
People must use their winch to pull out stuck ATVs all the time that are heavier than the machine with the winch. How is it done.

97 Scrambler 400 primary clutch pull water method question

I have heard of using the water method to pull the primary clutch, people keep saying to use the original clutch bolt and put Teflon tape on the threads, I understand everything that was explained. I understand the water pressure is what causes the clutch to pop off, my question if I am putting the water in the bolt hole. How does it actually pop it off if it’s threading into the crank, wouldn’t it just seize the bolt from tightening. First clutch like this I have owned and need to pull it to replace the back case of the belt box.

Why I bought the Sportsman 570 instead of Yamaha Kodiak/Grizzly

I spent the better half of a deployment in 16”-17” looking at ATV’s. By the time I was stateside, I was stuck between Yamaha and Polaris. A Month ago, I was still pretty certain I wanted the Yamaha. Keep in mind that I think Yamaha is an outstanding brand. I’ve owned a Stryker and it’s the best motorcycle I’ve ever ridden. That said, after seeing the two bikes in the flesh and side by side, the 570 was clearly better for me. Sitting on the Grizzly and Kodiak felt cramped for someone my size, 6’4 - 220lbs. I felt like I was perched too high on the machine and like I could be bucked off or thrown forward. There was also zero seat space behind me for a lady friend to ride along. The lack of built-in storage was also a drawback for me. Sitting on the sportsman felt worlds apart from the Yamahas. I felt like I was sitting “in” the bike and the comfort was comparable to a classic Cadillac. The AWD system is ultra casual and easy to control. Also, with the value difference, I opted for EPS as well. Another plus is that I have more space to add a custom built dog carrier. The things keeping me from wanting to buy the Polaris were the mountains of complaints about failing machines. That said, I noticed that much of the damage was actually from misuse and abuse. Busted axels from oversized wheel/tire combos, electrical damage from lack of heat add ons, deep mud exposure to intakes/exhaust, overloaded electrical from add ons and so on. To me the sportsman was too good a value to pass and the problems are overstated in my opinion. It’s an ultra luxe trail machine, probably even more machine than I really need, and I’m looking forward to the adventures ahead. Good riding folks!
