Starter drive is shot

So I went out wheeling and heard a metal rattling noise I get home and start digging and find the starter drive counter weight is broken into four pieces. Without ordering a whole new one is there a way to rebuild what I have? My bike is a 2006 Outlander 400.

New Renegade owner

Hey all, new to the forum but have been lurking for about a year now. I just ordered my 2018 Renegade 1000 from the dealership. I have been doing a lot of reading and it seems like a lot of guys spend more time wrenching on these machines than riding them, especially with the rear diff. I am coming off a Grizz 700 that I never had a single problem with. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem working on my stuff and doing maintenance religiously, I am just worried I will spend more time and money fixing stuff than riding. I also dont abuse my equipment (although it is an XMR so it will be abused a bit). I know that people come to message boards and online to complain more often than not, so hopefully I'm just being paranoid for no reason. Basically I'm looking for reassurance that I didn't just drop 15k on an endless fix and money pit.

New Rider Sportsman 450

Hello everyone just purchased my first atv a Polaris 450 Sportsman.

Any suggestions about riding, handling or maintenance of the unit?

Purchased this as I just bought some property and it would be easier taking care of the land and checking things out on nice machine such as this.

Going to pick it up today and have some fun.

What does SP stand for?

Hello Folks,
I have a 2017 Sportsman 570 Tourimg 2Up. It does not have EPS. Does that make it an SP? If so, what does “SP” stand for? Not even my manual specifies. If it does, I don’t see it.

Thank you.

300 2×4 Doesn’t charge at idle

Hi, I was wondering if anyone could help me out I have a 95' 300 2x4. I’ve got a problem charging. Not sure is there a volt reg or a sensor to check other than the generator itself? At idle I’m reading 8.4volt iirc when I rev it even a little it starts charging and floored it’ll hit 15 volts. But as soon as it gets back to idle it’s drained back to 8.4 eventually dying. I've had it a few years and rarely ride it because I've had issues from the start. I replaced the starter redid the whole fuel lines/carb/pecock. Just wish I could keep it running I go out on trails on our property and can't shut it off or walk away longer then 5 seconds for fear it'll die (won't idle for long at all because the battery dies due to not charging..) Not sure if it matters either but I recently upgraded my battery to a riding mower battery to support my winch and extra led lights (had this problem before adding the winch/battery) but just thought I'd provide that info just in case?
Anyways, Any help would be great.
Thanks, Nick.

Fan override switch with rad relocate?

Hey guys this is my first post but I plan to be buying a 13-16 outlander 850/1000 in a few months so I’m already looking for mods I can do. The bike will be 50/50 trail and mud so it will have snorkels, tires, clutch kit and so forth when I can afford to do so. What is the actual reason for a fan override when the radiator was already relocated? I thought the purpose of a radiator was to keep mud out so it doesn’t overheat. Also any tips on what you think good mods to do first hand would be greatly appreciated!
