I recently purchased a ds 650 that doesnt fire, was curious if anyone had a spare oem CDI box they would like to sell? Also in need of the oem exhaust that has the DS650 emblem on the side.
Quading camping in Alberta
Hi guys,
I live just outside of Edmonton and love loading up the atvs , tagging on the travel trailer and heading out camping in the hills with my family. Problem is it seems it’s getting harder to find people with time or that are into it as much as we are that do it with the whole family! My wife rides a 850xp touring and I ride a 1000xp touring both have 28” zillas and we each haul a kid on the back. We are not afraid to go miles and miles in the bush. Is there anyone out there that does this with their kids or just want more people to add to the group?

07 Outlander 800 Frame Swap
Hi all new here, I have to do a frame swap on my 2007 800XT. What year frames are interchangeable ? 06-09? I see a few on eBay one from Canada and another in the states. With the bill of sale from Canada can I register that here in the states? Any help is appreciated.

Outlander 450 L, 500 L, or 570 (All DPS)???
I just joined this forum, and hoping to get some advise from Experienced Can Am Outlander Owners. I live in Southern California, and am looking to buy my first 4 x 4 Quad (I have driven quads on an off for several years, but have never owned one before). I am sold on Cam Am after watching and reading articles online.
My needs are the following:
1) Climb fairly steep hills in Mohave Desert (1,500 to 2,000 ft elevation climbs)
2) Terrain is always rocky, and sometimes steep
3) Looking to haul Quick Crete (fast setting cement) and water to make watering devices on private property...so need to haul about 150 pounds plus me....I am approx 220 lbs.
4) Quad with good ground clearance and DPS for slow rock climbs is super important.
5) I do NOT care about the speed of the Quad on flat ground...0 to 60 times, etc.
I am considering 3 Local Options that are available for me to purchase, based on my limited budget of about $7,500 to a high of 8,000.00. But have concerns about low speed power on hills...
1) New, 2018 Outlander 450 DPS. Quoted out the door price of $7,250.00 (after all fees, taxes, etc). Because 2018 model, they claim to be offering extra off the total price...
Concerns: Cannot find anything online that states that the transmission is geared lower on the 450 than what is included with the larger Outander 570. Also, the 450 has less horse power; and I worry about power when starting from dead stop, on a steep hill. Also, don't want to burn out transmission as I will doing a lot of hills. Any thoughts on this?
2) Used 2015 Outlander 500 L DPS with 513 original miles, and still has just over a year of left on the original 5-year warranty. Cost is $7,500.00 out the door (including all fees/taxes/etc).
Concerns: Several videos and articles that I reviewed stated that the 2015 500 L DPS; when starting from a dead stop, to climb a hill with just the rider; was lacking....and was a short coming for this quad....I wonder if they (article authors) are over stating this issue, or if it is a true short coming of the 500 L DPS ???
3) Or try to buy 2019 Outlander 570 DPS? Have read a few articles stating that Can Am has added another gear to the low setting to help with low speed gearing, and torque has increased to 9%. But this quad, though my preferred choice, has an out the door price (after taxes, dealer fees, etc) of about $9,300.00 (price includes Cam-Am Current March Savings offer). Which I currently cannot afford...my only choice would be to wait another year to buy this quad, and get started on the project in 2020 instead.
Sorry for long post, but any input/thoughts would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance....

Potting lube in engine, transmission and gearcase
What type of funnel, pump or tube do you use to refill you lube oils. My 800efi Sportsman apears to refill the oil in the engine through the dipstick tube, seams like that will take for ever. How about shareing your tricks, I don't need to reinvent the wheel. Hey guys Thanks.
2015 Can Am Outlander 1000 Valve springs
Hello All,
I am new to the forum hope all is well. I have a stock 2015 can am outlander 1000 Xt w/ 400 miles on it. I have been looking around for a programmer and exhaust setup for this ride. I am not running big tires or going to be running deep in the mud. I like to do a lot of trail riding with some light to moderate mud, hillclimbing and some high speed flats where the top end is appreciated. I want to get all the power I can from this machine (because whoever said "no that's enough power I don't want anymore")as I could without opening the motor for now. I have found a guy on ebay that will reflash the ecm to remove speed/rev limits, and download a tune on a programmer to adjust the fuel/air ratio and adjust to the Trinity exhaust. However he has informed me that by doing so without doing some valve spring upgrades I will damage my motor. Has anyone ran into this problem, or have I misunderstood what he was trying to tell me?
Thank you in advance,
Mike

2016 850 Max XT
Found a 2016 850 Max XT with well miles and low hours. Appears to be in good condition. Few questions ive been unable to track down online. When was the 850 introduced? Is this the Gen. One or Gen. Two frame? Are there any known or inherent issues with this year And Model? The tires have plugs in them so I have plans your place those early. Should I swap rims to a 14? Something different? What size and type tires for muddy farm work with occasional trail rides?
Asking price is 8k. Shooting for sale price of 7k. Thoughts?

No power after removing radiator
Ok, this may sound like a stupid question. I actually hope it does instead of something being wrong. So I have removed all the body panels on my 2011 Outlander, including the radiator (it has a radiator kit, so it sits on top of the front panel). While everything was off I was going to swap out the tail light bulb because the brake light doesn’t work. So I put in the key and turned it to on to give me power to check the bulb, I no longer have any power. I assumed it was because I disconnected something when I removed all the panels and am hoping it’s a normal thing. Figured I would ask here.
