Big Boss 6×6 Tracks

Will my Polaris branded Soucy built tracks on my 2009 Big Boss 800 fit on the newer Big Boss 570? Have seen a couple photos of the older style like mine on the 570, but Polaris website shows a different style that they are now offering and say my part number 2878421 won't work. What's up?

99 Sportsman 335 Won’t shift into second

Hello,

I have a sportsman with automatic transmission. I replaced the clutch and belt and fixed a bent linkage. When I drive it shifts fine into first but when I drive it it doesn't seem to shift up. The RPMs just rev high. Am I gonna have to replace the transmission or is there something else I can check?

Bear Claw HTR on Can Am Outlander

Hey everyone,

I have learned a lot from reading other posts on this forum, but I have not found a good solution to my problem.

I recently purchased a 2008 Can Am Outlander Max 800 XT that I am looking to put 27 inch Bear Claw HTRs on. The Bear Claws are too wide for the front and will rub the tie rods. To come up with a solution I am looking at the data on the stock wheels and tires and trying to calculate the ideal spacers or wheels.

The information I have found on the stock wheels and tires

Front Tires: Carlisle ACT 26x8x12
Rear Tires: Carlisle ACT 26x10x12

Front Wheels: 12x6 Offset 4.5x1.5
Rear Wheels: 12x8 Offset 5.5x2 (This does not add up)

Bear Claw HTR Size

Front: 27x9x12
Rear: 27x11x12

Possible Solutions

Option 1: Installing .5 inch spacers on the front
Should I put .5 inch spacers on the rear as well to ensure the front and rear tires line up the same as stock?

Option 2: Purchasing wheels with 4x2 or 4x3 offset for the front.
Should I purchase rear wheels with a 5x2.5 or 5x3.5 offset to ensure the front and rear tires line up the same as stock?

I would prefer to get aftermarket rims, I just need confirmation on what offset I should go with for both the front and rear wheels. Most aftermarket wheels come in one size and I do not think that would work because it would mess up the diameter of the wider rear wheels. I would like to only increase the width by .5 inches which would give the new tires the same clearance as stock without increasing the width too much.

Please let me know what you think. I am looking for confirmation on the stock wheel offset and size numbers and suggestions for the best parts to go about correcting the tie rod rubbing.

The attached photo is of the Bear Claws on the stock rims. The Tie Rods will rub in this configuration.

02 sportsman 500 hard cold start

starts good and easy when warm but cold start is terrible. Sometimes just won't start. Any ideas? Can it be pull started? I just ordered a new spark plug but the old one looked fine. I pulled it out and plugged the wire to and and plenty of nice blue arc. I've always had a problem with this but seams to be getting worse or I'm getting older. What do others do to get rid of this problem. I've replaced the starter a couple years ago to see if that helps... it didn't. replace carb a couple years ago. fixed the problem for a while now back to same old.

06 sportsmanx2 500efi TPS help

new to forum,
I was having trouble code for tps and symptoms too. I ordered a test harness for 9volt battery to adjust it. Heres where it gets interesting when I hook up to tps the voltage reading is 3.9 volts and goes down when I accelerate. What am I missing? I got another tps and it reads the same way, I took apart test harness to check the way it was wired and it looks correct from what I found online, my guess is the test harness I got isn't correct,is there another way to calibrate it without harness? bike wires are red, black, green Any help is much appreciated

Engine Wear on Tuning

Hi
We did some research work for a business client.
Here is a nice chart that shows what happen to an X3 turbo when you overboost the engine
Torsion inside the engine become crazy. Lifetime of the engine reduce by 78%.
The worst of all are unique signs inside the engine that shows all the massive boost.

cheers

New Member H2Kbro

Hey everyone, I am new to the forum.

I recently picked up a used 2008 Can Am Outlander Max 800 H.O. XT that is in great shape. It only has about 2,000 miles on it and the previous owner was a rancher and only used it to get around.

The tires are worn and I already purchased a set of 27 inch Bear Claw HTRs and had the dealer put them on the stock rims. I know they are not going to fit with no spacers on the stock rims, but I did not want to buy overpriced rims from them. My first post is going to be looking for advice for after market rims to use with these tires. I am attaching a photo of it with the new tires, I just put them on to get it off the jack stands. I will not be driving it in this configuration because the tie rods will rub.

I also own a 2005 Polaris Sportsman 700 EFI

I recently moved to Southern Nevada and am hoping to get out doors more often and check out this side of country.
