2018 Polaris RZR RS1 vs. Polaris ACE 900 XC: By the Numbers

When it comes to sitting down at the off-road table, Polaris has immediate seating for a party of one with the new RZR RS1 and the ACE 900 XC. Let’s see how these two interesting machines compare.

The rumors were floating around for months, with spy photos and “first-hand accounts” leaking all over the place, letting the off-road world know about Polaris’ hot-new RZR RS1 before the official unveil as January came to a close. The idea of a single-seat UTV isn’t new, as Polaris has been in the uno-UTV biz with the popular ACE lineup. With the ACE 900 XC in the stable as a higher performance option, how will it compare to the new 2018 Polaris RZR RS1? Let’s compare by the numbers, shall we?

New Polaris RZR RS1 Gets Class in Red Bull Global Rallycross

The new single-seat Polaris RZR RS1 was designed with bad intentions on the race circuit and it will be the exclusive vehicle used in the Red Bull Global Rallycross Side-by-Side class.

On the heels of yesterday’s official unveiling of the new Polaris RZR RS1, Red Bull Global Rallycross is pleased to announce that the new model will be the exclusive vehicle used in the series’ new side-by-side class, Polaris GRC. Sportsman headlight upgrade

Hey all,

I own a 2004 sportsman 500 HO. I am interested in upgrading the factory lights to LEDs. I've done some poking around online with the part numbers and nothing in particular seems to be too impressive, also website interface isn't the most user friendly in the world.

I'm looking for suggestions on different options to look into as far as bulb replacements so please respond with any suggestions that you may have. I'd also like to find a website that is good for buying different accessories for atv's that has a clean interface and is easy to use. Thanks in advance!

Top light part number is 4010253
Bottom light number is 4030059

Primary & Secondary Clutch Change

Hey Guys,

Is there a good step by step tutorial on here for swapping out the primary and secondary clutch? I have a 2017 Outlander XT and have bought a QSC Rev X primary and STM Secondary. Figured I might go ahead and do the install this weekend but couldn't find a good tutorial on here.

Also wanted to do a quick checklist on my tools supplies and make sure I'm not missing anything I would need for the job. I have:

- Both of the new clutches (only received a new bolt for the secondary, is the primary bolt reusable?)
- Torque wrench
- Air impact if needed
- Clutch puller tool - https://www.ebay.com/itm/EPI-Clutch-...53.m2749.l2649

If there is no tutorial up on this site somewhere do you guys know of a good one elsewhere to follow? Also what is the torque value for each clutch when putting on the replacements and do you recommend using red thread lock on each.

Sorry for all the questions, I just want to make sure I do it right the first time! Although I wouldn't consider myself overly mechanically inclined, I've never had a problem working on projects if there is a tutorial to follow.

Thanks for the help!

Trying Something New

So I screwed up yesterday and looked up the Tusk Warthog, after reading a couple of posts about them. Turns out RMATV is selling the 29-9-14 and 29-11-14 tires for $82 each. That equals $328 for a set of four brand new 8 ply radial tires. To sweeten the pot, RMATV is also giving an $80 gift card out with the purchase of 4 Tusk Warthogs. That brings the investment down to $248! Me, being the way I am with tires, just couldn't say no to a deal like that. Ordered up a new set of boots for the General this morning. Doubt I'll ever get another opportunity to try out a new tire for less than $250. Even if for some reason I don't like them, it's less than $250. Take 'em off and put the Bighorns back on. No way I couldn't get at least that much money back out of them. Not a ton of info or reviews out on them, but those I have found have been nothing but good. Kind of reminds me of how I found the Bearclaw HTR's, and those turned out to be my favorite tire (as well as the cheapest) I've run on an atv, so who knows. Maybe these will work out that way as well.

Which one…?

So to make a long story short, Rogue sent me a grill (big star logo) and the mesh behind the star is really pretty crooked.
Most would say who cares it’s going on a wheeler, and I’d typically agree, but not at $160. The issue is there isn’t enough mesh to unbolt and try to realign.
So I contacted them, had 4 or 5 emails back and forth. They then sent a new one. I told them I would not ship mine back until I received and inspected the new one and that I wasn’t paying for another to be reimbursed once they received the old one back.
Well it paid off as the new grill came with a much smaller star.
They told me they discontinued the large star from 2 weeks ago. I told them it was BS as he could have told me that in one of many emails we sent back and forth. I then told him I was taking the original star off and mounting it on the new grill. He said I can’t do that.
Well I say I can, and I will. But if I decide not to, which would you guys have:
A straight mesh grill with small logo or..
A crooked mesh grill with big logo?Attachment 100281

Thor’s trail adventures in Northern Arizona

After living in the midwest for almost 20 years our family was blessed to be able to move to the mountains of Arizona. We moved to a small family town called Prescott which is between Flagstaff and Phoenix at a elevation of 5400'. A town surrounded by one of the largest Ponderosa Pine Forests in the world at 145,000 acres. A town that offers 4 mild seasons.

When we lived in Illinois we would have to trailer 5 hours to get to our favorite Wisconsin trails. This was difficult since I also own a business called TheATVSuperStore.com. A business where we test and use the products we sell. If it does not pass our testing on the trail we will not sell it! Having had to trailer quads such a long distance made it hard to test and use products. Now we just leave our house! Here in AZ the quads are both trail and street legal giving you the freedom to enjoy what Yavapai County has too offer. Also, to give back to our community, I have joined the Yavapai County Search and Rescue Quad unit (see link for more information) News & Story Feed | Yavapai County Search and Rescue Team. Helping those that are in need on the thousands of miles of trails in our area!

All I can say is that this has been a awesome ride that only gets better and better. Here I will post pictures of our adventures. Not always will they be with quads since we also use UTV's. Any questions and or comments please feel free to chime in!

Water pump impeller

Need help!! I’m replace the water pump seal and oil seal and I’m having trouble with the water pump impeller. Does anybody know for sure if the nut on the end of the crank shaft is reverse thread and also when I try to take the nut off it just spins the crankshaft which turns the motor. I’m working on a 2005 Polaris Ranger 500 which I’m told is the same as the sportsman’s. Any help would be great I really don’t want to pay to have it worked on. Please and thanks
