Newbie intro

Hey guys, just put my deposit down on a brand new 2019 outlander max 650 DPS yesterday. It is my first atv ever and I'm absolutely jacked about it.

I did want the XT but I hated black and wanted a bright color hence why I went with the orange DPs . I did order all the xt accessories but wondering about whether 869 cdn is a lot for the warn 3000lb winch and install kit. The can am 3000 is 200 dollars less but I know you get what you pay for. Anyone have the can am 3000s fail?

Also I did order the orange and black hand guards but looking more closely at the xt hand guards... Look like there's more coverage.. Anyone assist?

Lastly should I be looking to get a light bar or are the stock lights half decent?

Thanks!

Kimpex muffler…..a performance increase?

Found this muffler and got me wondering. Since the muffler mod everyone does has the outlet going out the back. This muffler already has the outlet out the back and the price is right under 200 bucks. Any thoughts on this? Should it flow better than stock? It does say about stock sound levels which I would love as well but that probably means not much performance increase???? What do you guys think?

Ez steer on sportsman xp touring

Hi guys , I’m currently replacing my fourth power steering box on another 850 xp! I’m done with paying $2400 ca for these units. I have looked at ez steer due to the warranty and less then half the price. However it states that the 850 xp kit will NOT fit the touring model . Now I have looked this over alot and the only thing I can see that would be a issue is the battery being all the way in the back. If I ran wires from the battery to the front , I cant see any reason why this wouldn’t work. It’s a $1200 gamble so If there’s anyone out there that knows why this wouldn’t work ,please chime in ! Thanks

Engine won’t stay running when start button is released

So I am close to taking this thing in but I figured you guys may have some insight. I have a 96 sportsman 500 that will run with the starter button pushed but when I let go the engine stops. It will pull start all day and run fine so I know it's not the carb. It has a brand new cdi box, New stator, New coil, New battery, I even replaced the whole handle bar switch assy and the harness. It also has a new starter and bendix. The valves are set at 6 on both the intake and exhaust. I have rebuilt the whole motor from top to bottom. The battery is at 12.6 volts and when running at 14.4 volts. I can't for the life of me figure out why It won't stay running when trying to start electrically. I have jumped the battery straight to the starter and runs perfect. Is there something I'm missing? Limiter maybe? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
