2018 Sportsman Touring 850

Rear is on. He sent the CTR1 when I ordered the CTR2. Since I had him add the middle mesh it still matched the front so I was good and kept it. Great little storage area now.

Front is going to take some planning and reengineering due to IB skids.

LESSON for others: Best thing would’ve been to stick with John adding the fairlead plate and then just removing the front upper IB skid like you see in the pics.

Looks like I will need to drill through the IB front upper bracket. Can’t remove as it also has the front lower connected to it.

Taking bets on how many drill bits I break LOL.

Hope the photos aren’t sideways like most of mine.
Best pics on iPhone is holding phone sideways.

2016 outlander xmr 1000.

Doing a few mods to my wheeler. And have a few questions for you guys to hopefully help me with. First question might be a foolish one but on the 2016 xmr the fox shocks can he adjusted. Would I be able to adjust them enough for me to be able to run 32's with out rubbing or should I just get spring spacers? Secondly I have had my ECU flashed and was wondering if I should run a power commander v with the auto tune? Or just leave it be? Works foolish right now but want more. Thanks in advance guys.

Replacing Rear Bushings

Does anyone know if the bolts need to be torqued to a certain lb. or just tighten? After replacing the bushing I snugged all bolts back up and the four wheeler is super stiff, I credit most of that to the bushing replacment but it just seems super tight and now the cv joint is much most noisy than before.

CV Axle

Anyone ever bought a East Lake Axle, rear CV axle off of Amazon? Price isn't bad but I don't know if they are good or not. For the record I don't do any serious off roading, mainly use mine for hunting and occasional riding around the farm.

Thanks

2009 550 XP transmission

Was out on the ice fishing this weekend. I hopped on and went to shift into reverse and there was no resistance on the shift lever. It just flops back and forth. I warmed it up in the morning and this happened about 20 minutes after I had started running it. I popped the plastics and the nut/bolt that connects to the linkage? and goes into the transmission? moves as it should when I move the lever. Luckily it was broken in high and I was able to get it off the ice no problem. Anyone have any idea what I broke in there and if it is going to cost a lot to fix? Sorry if i gave the wrong terminology. I am by far no mechanic.

New Guy Here

Finally joined after lurking for awhile. I've got a 2004 Sportsman 500HO that I am doing some work on. Replacing rear wheel bearings and new CV axles.

Bad To The Bone: Modded Mondays

We'd hate to be on the other guys' team

We think Can-Am’s caption on this photo says it best, “Once you spot it, you’re probably too late.” That pretty much summarizes this bad to the bone militarized Can-Am Maverick X3 dubbed the Strike-X BFSIII X Edition. The project was a collaboration between Franklin Armory and RP Advanced Mobile Systems and was appropriately debuted at the 2018 SHOT show in Las Vegas Nevada.

2003 Trailblazer 250 Questions

Hi All,
I have never owned a Polaris so don't know much about the models and issues associated with them. My son is looking to upgrade to a larger machine and has been saving his money. He found a 2003 Trailblazer 250 that he is interested in but I don't know what to tell him about the bike.

They are asking 800$ CAD for the buggy but it needs a set of rings. We are pretty handy in the garage so i'm not worried about rebuilding the top end. Just wondering if this sounds like it is worth it? Anything I should know about this bike?

Any help or input would be appreciated.

More tools needed in tool kit

I’ve owned ski doo snowmobiles my whole life. They’ve always come with the tools to spread the secondary sheave to change your belt. I was very surprised to find that my 2018 HD 10 1000 XT has no belt change tools!! That’s something needed on every machine! Anyone else notice this?
